Not to sure on this one? Marquez looked very sluggish in his first appearance @ 140. I know he weighed in a little more than the proposed weight of this fight, but who knows, Marquez is not proven @ 140.

Ricky on a good night can be an animal for anyone. But he looked very bad in his last outing and the weight is definetely becoming an issue as he ages. Fun fight to watch, but a tough one to call just yet.

He's been in worse shape than now and he made weight.

He''ll make it once more after losing the blubber.

all the crash weight loss and gain cant help to maintain stamina, chin and general health. All that combined with two beatings must have really taken its toll.

No sure if its true but i heard he currently weighed 200lbs!!!! and the fight would most proably be at 140.

I really think he needs to not box again or at least pick a softer opponent than marquez and go out on a high. I think Hattons style would suit marquez. He would soften hatton up in early rounds and get a TKO in round 9.

I know Hattons messed up with his yo-yo weight, being KOd by the top 2 elites in the world and alcohol lifestyle, but Marquez isn't as elusive as Mayweather (or even Pacquiao now) and it should be competitive. Mexicans love a good brawl and you know Marquez can do it (a la Pacquiao). I think it will be better than people expect.

If the fight is made, I don't see Hatton having trouble making the weight. I do see him having trouble winning the fight.

The last time I saw Hatton he looks terrilby big. Even his face is puffy! I wouldn't be surprised if he weighs around over 175lbs now!

Not sure if he can still make it at 140lbs.

It's going to be an intersting match! If JMM shows up as fit as when he fought pac I'm leaning towards JMM. iF JMM shows up as slow as when he fought pbf. I'll got for Hatton!

Of course Ricky can get back in shape. Ricky is fat because he likes to drink and have a good time. That's not the same as some disgusting 40-yr-old obese woman who wants to stuff her face with cake because she can't stuff with ****.

Cutting weight is simple. You diet. You run. Done. Ricky's done it 100s of times he can do it again easy.

As for JMM, he is a great fighter and I have great respect for him but he can go eat all the quail eggs he wants, break rocks in the Mexican mountains-- he can't fight 140+. He will be embarrassed.

There is no way Hatton wins this fight, he is outskilled by mammoth proportions.
I get to make a ton of money betting on Marquez. Ricky has no chance. Zero.

Hatton needs a tune up fight first to really see where he is physically and mentally at this stage of his career. JMM is not the type of fighter he can just bully around.

The starting word of your user name leads me to believe that you very well might be. Cutting weight is not simple and losing weight is not simple. I keep hearing the same **** from people who have never laced up a glove in their life. If you have had to make weight after balooning up like Ricky does you would not be using the word simple. He makes weight but he probably kills himself to make it and its just like training to make weight rather than home his skills and his terrible defense. Ricky Hatton's yo yo ing up and down in weight is what will eventually mess him right up.

The guy is completely unprofessional and his career will be ended if he fights Marquez. I think Marquez will be a little more suited at 140 and I believe that Hatton has zero chance. You cant take pub culture into the ring and expect to win. His body is going to break down on him sooner or later and as a boxer I find it amazing that he trashes his body the way he does. His body will fail him.
