God,you people really think Mayweather is unbeatable. He maybe the best around at the moment,MAYBE,but the gap between him and other top P4P boxers in the world today is only small.I'd like to see him fight outside his country before talking about greatness....by repeating how unbeatable he is doesn't really fool anyone apart from people who are fools already.

Hatton is very dirty one thing that most won't bring up around here. He is the master of holding and hitting.:D Great post!:clap:

OUTSIDE of the country? Why would he do that? America is where all the best competition is. And not to mention the most money. It's the other way around.. People from other countries have to come to AMERICA to prove they're the best.. That's why Ricky Hatton is fighting here now :good

He's not unbeatable its just that Hatton isn't the one to beat him he lacks what it takes.

This may be true if Hatton was at the same level as Gatti. Truth is Hatton is way better than Gatti ever was. Plus the fact that Gatti was completely shot when he faced Mayweather.

I'm not saying Hatton will beat Mayweather, but to say it's a mismatch is not a very objective view.

    Exactly.

This is no mis-match and Ricky Hatton is certainly no Arturo Gatti, he's way ahead of him.

I think and hope Hatton will win but if he doesn't it will certainly be no easy ride for Mayweather. In fact it will be the toughest fight of his life.

    Thank you, Pimp.

and yes, I also didn't say he was unbeatable. Sonny must be feeling it after reading enough reality posts....lol

Paul Williams COULD make it happen. Maybe Mosley could pull it off...but Hatton?

    Nahhhh.

    .

    welcome to esb

i disagree with you on several subjects

    1. you say hatton will not run out of steam,he did against urango and collazo, and the castillo fight only went 4 rounds so we wont know,

2.you say if hatton gets mayweather he wont ever have seen anything like it, when hatton attacks fighters on the ropes there is no jab to setup the attack,he throws hooks to the body and uppercuts thus leaving himself wide open to counters which someone as fast and accurate as mayweather will play on

3.you said pbf has looked far from invincible in his last 3 fights, do you forget he is fighting 4weight classes above his best ,and in 1 case 5classes above ,hatton hasnt looked invincible in his last 3 either

i agree we will see whos right dec 8th

I'm being extremely objective and making an honest assessment on this matchup. Are you sure YOU'RE being objective, Claypool UK?

    It's a mismatch.

Mayweather is bigger and faster with a longer reach. His offense is better. His defense is better. He has more experience against better opposition. What about The Cut Factor on Ricky's end?

The only think you can maybe give Ricky is The Chin Factor...thus The Puncher's Chance call.

Wait. You can give The Dirty Factor to Hatton as well...trying to cover everything here...lol

I would take Mayweather over Williams right now, but don't you agree he has a better chance of beating Mayweather than Hatton has?

I hope your answer is yes.

it depends i think williams is very overrated his defense is wide open his foot are to slow and his balance is pretty poor he paws with the jab and leaves his face wide open after throwing a jab imol hed get countered all night but pbf wouldnt come close to a stoppage

hatton is aggressive come forward who doesnt let you breathe and coulod cause trouble

hard b2 say whod be a bigger problem as there 2 different styles pbf has never really faced before :thumbsup

naaaaa same things were said in Australian forums before the Tszyu fight, outclassed over-matched who the hell is Hatton...this is a real fight and if you really think it will be one-sided you will be in for a surprise....don't expect the same Hatton to turn up that fought Collazo or Urango,Mayweather's not stupid he knows that. It'll be the same guy that fought Tszyu in front of him and he will have to dig deep to win,but hey if it makes you feel better keep writing about this guys greatness just means if HAtton wins or comes close he will be great also,in your eyes anyway

He does sometimes just almost slap it out there almost like a backhand or something. It's really borderline illegal what he does, I've seen him warned in a fight for doing it.
