Southpaw v orthodox creates more distance between the fighters. It is unavoidable due to how their feet our placed. This is of real benefit to one of the fighters if they like to box, have distance and catch the boxer coming in. This could benefit Pac but I believe Ricky to have adequate footwork to cut the distance.
At least Hatton's right hand has developed. His straight right looked better against Malignaggi, and a good right hand is a key to handling southpaws. Needless to say, this fight will be won on the inside. Hatton's far superior on the inside, his work is largely un-noticed and ridiculed as 'clinching and hugging'.
thats b/c hook & hold is rickys trademark. can you name another fighter who holds/clinches/huggs more than ricky??
