He's done no less than Hatton did to get his shot at Tszyu really. At that point the best name on his record was Ben Tackie who was coming off two straight losses. You can ROFL & play the fool all you like but it just shows your inability to converse on an intellectual level.

The same Vivian Harris who beat Hatton's next opponent.

Err, Hatton won an IBF eliminator and was mandatory to Tsyzu
but Witter is special I know, he's dan-b's "number one contender" - Hatton will for sure fight him now. :patsch

I'm surprised a Hatton fan wants to get into the discrediting game.

Witter holds the WBC title, whats the difference?

I await your childish, emoticon filled retort with baited breath.

He holds one of the world titles, so why should Hatton fight him over the IBF, WBA or WBO champion?

Oh, i forgot, because he's dan-b's #1?  :patsch

    Can't argue with that fact.

But Harris is mixing with the same calibre of opponent as Hatton and Witter took him out in style.

What does that mean? The same calibre of opponent as Hatton is who?

IBF champ, Malignaggi- Many feel he lost his last fight but nonetheless is popular in American among certain factions
WBA champ, Kotelnik- Won the title from Gavin Rees, the epitome of a paper champ not really well know anywhere.
WBO champ, Torres- Like Witter not really well known but hits hard. A good potential match up if he can raise hsi profile.

Most people recognise Witter as the number one challenger its not just me. Remember he is unbeated in nearly 8 years & all but for of those fights have finished inside the distance. Throw in the British rivalry angle & it's a very marketable fight. With Malignaggi gunning for a fight with Ricky later in the year it seems unlikely The Hitter could fight him. The next logical option after Bradley would be Torres & should Hatton not give him a chance I think thats the fight Junior should go for next.

I'd like to see Junior go for that fight too.

Would that be enough for you then or would the goal posts be moved again?

Tell him to watch UFC, they have 3 or 4 top guys in a division who generally fight each other within a reasonable space of time. Boxing doesn't always work like that (unfortuneatly)!!;)

I look at it like this... when Hatton says he wants the fight - that's when Witter has done enough.
Because I respect Hatton for giving us British Boxing - on the world level.

    I'll explain...

I'm a boxing fan, and as such I want to see the biggest fights and I want to see Brits in them. For a period of years after Benn, Eubank, and at the end of Hamed and Lewis' careers - British boxing was sh*t.
It comprised Warren feeding Calzaghe and Hatton nobodies when all I wanted to see was them fighting somebody. Hennessy was trying his best with Eastman and Witter. And at this point I respected Witter more than I did Hatton because he went to America to fight N'dou - when Hatton and Calzaghe, even though bigger stars over here, wouldn't risk anything like that.
Then, after Hatton had gone on about wanting Tsyzu for years, Warren finally get's that fight... the first big British fight in ages.
But Hatton has seen Calzaghe fester for 10 years under Warren after winning a title, and Hatton gets out as soon as he's champion, he fights another world champion next fight, up to win a welterweight world title in america, fights another world champion in america, fights castillo in america and fights the biggest fight in world boxing.
That is the ONLY reason that Calzaghe is fighting Hopkins in a couple of weeks, and it's the only reason he fought Kessler last time. Because Hatton left Warren and said "look what I can do without him", and now Warren HAS to make fights like that, and Haye-Enzo because he looks sh*t making more Calzaghe-Pudwill fights when Hatton is fighting Mayweather.

Hatton is the reason British boxing isn't sh*t anymore. As far as I can see that's obvious, and I will not say a bad word against the guy because I'm a boxing fan and I'm getting everything I wanted 10 years ago, and I'm getting now because of Ricky Hatton.
Junior Witter didn't make British boxing great again, and to say Hatton HAS to fight him is disgusting to me...

Half the people on esb want to see Lazcano knock Hatton out, well I'm sorry to hear that, because if it wasn't for Hatton leaving Warren and having the biggest balls in British boxing to go and get the biggest fight he could, we'd still be watching Calzaghe-Jimenez...

    Hatton needs to prove nothing.
