Good article, but no need to sh1t on Katsidis vs JMM and a potential Adamek-Klit fight. The most interesting part is that Showtime might sue Dirrel for lying about his symptoms.
I want to see David Haye vs Tomasz Adamek. I don't think there is a single person in the world who would wanna miss that fight. I want to see Donaire vs Montiel. I want to see Cotto vs Berto. I want to see Khan/Maidana winner against Bradley/Alexander winner. And then the winner of that against Pacquiao. I want to see the losers of those 2 fights face each other as well. I want to see Jean Pascal vs Lucian Bute Andre Ward against Froch and Abraham Yuriorkis Gamboa vs Chris John vs JuanMa Lopez
Hauser did challenge Oscar to sign a paper to waive his confidentiality to tests results that have been done on him in the past....and so far, no response.
Showtime is only #2 because they want to be. If they stopped wasting ****ing money on MMA bull**** and allocated tha to boxing they could have already taken over HBO's top spot. Hell if they made PPVs they would have already taken over. They have better production design, better analyst, and better fights.

I didn't really find the second part all that interesting, we all know that exclusive output deals are bad but according to HBO themselves they will not renew it with Golden Boy when it expires. As for the rest, if anything I found myself agreeing with Schafer that guys like Dibella/Shaw/Goosen do very little real promoting. At least Golden Boy makes some sort of effort to establish new markets. The Khan-Pauly money thing is also a non-issue, nobody got ripped off and Hauser is just looking for anything to criticize Golden Boy for. On the whole he is right that HBO is gullible with their money, but I feel that in the past two years they have made efforts to put on better matchmaking, it's just that they overpay for all their fights.
read it yesterday and loved it. i found it interesting that the promoters foot the bill for the 24/7 shows coudnt believe that
there are some fighters whoM HBO believes would be the next superstars of boxing. they pay them well, cuddle them with tomato cans, hype them to high heavens. HBO didn't even care if some of these fighters were limp-wristed, china-chinned, lousy and unexciting to watch, just as long as they keep the aura of being slick and flashy. Andre Berto Chad Dawson Jermain Taylor and if they weren't exposed early these guys would have been in the list Campbell Ortiz Alexander GUzman

Fighters are afraid of L's. Not because they are scared of fighters, they are scared of LOSING. Which means less cash and exposure. Back in the day a fighter could lose 2-3 fights in 5 years and still be marketable. Now if a fighter loses once his profitability goes down dramatically. Agree with the premise of the article, boxing needs to stop hyping records and start hyping fighters.
