Uh, yes, again, irrelevant. Read slowly, and carefully. That list was about foreign-born but currently German-based boxers. Some may or may not have some German blood, but that's irrelevant. Ethnicity wasn't the focus of that list. You're conflating different things I've said in this thread, because apparently the nuances of this conversation are too complex for you and LuckyLuke to get a handle on.

    Here are the facts.

There are many notable German-based boxers.

    Of those ...

There are a few notable German-born boxers.

There are a few notable ethnic German boxers whose mothers squeezed them out beyond the vaterland.

There are very, very, very few who meet both criteria.

Most notable German-based boxers are from another country and have a minority of German blood, if any.

Two different concepts are being discussed in tandem here; actually three if you count their intercorrelation. Do you think you guys can slow your brains down and be patient enough to look at what is actually being discussed? Have a sip of water.

So whats your point then? What do you want to say with this statement?
    Who cares?
Germany is a country with the highest number of imigrants in europe! WHo is really suprised that we have many sportmen who are not born here or are not ethnic german (like me).
I really dont get your point... what do you want to say?

    It's just an observation. :conf

Just international boxing trivia. :good I'm not the one who made the thread. It's here, and it was interesting, so I contributed.

Nobody is saying Germans are horrible people for having so many imports in their professional boxing roster. Lord knows y'all have committed worse crimes. :) It's just a curiosity, that's all. Probably no other country has such a high rate of imports in this particular sport.

Again what do you want to say?
"A minority of german blood" Man you sound like a nazi!
I have no german blood but feel 100% german so what?
This whole race and heritage thing here really pisses me of now!
People like Culcay or Arslan or me are german like every other german here! I really dont get this whole race and born outside bla bala bla...
It seems that some US americans really are obsessed about race and stuff like that.

Just because we are maybe not ethnic german or not born in germany this does not mean that we cant be german!

    Imports:lol:
Your whole country is an import of european, african or asian people... Hell there is even no ethnic american! So all your fighters dont fit both criteria!

I think USA is king in this section.

Again, we're discussing two different aspects of identity here.

Ethnicity and nationality. You claim I'm the one hung up on the former, yet completely ignore the large part of this conversation focused on the latter.

No, USA does not have more imports than Germany in boxing in the sense of fighters coming here from past the borders. We have some foreign nationals based here. Adamek, Kayode, Gradovich, etc. Most of the well-known American boxers, however, are United States citizens whose umbilical cords were cut in American hospitals. That same can not be said of Germans. That is actually the main point of this discussion, realization of which you seem to be avoiding like the plague. You are the one who can't let go of the ethnicity tangent, it seems.

    Yes it is...
Also it is funny that an american talks about this topic and says that germany has "No ethnic german fighters" Although this statement would fit to the USA also, because there is even no ethnic US-american:lol:
Or maybe ethnic european, asian or african can be considerd as americans.. but when they are in germany they cant be "true" german:D

    You again are total wrong!
All these humans (Abraham, Huck Stieglitz...) are not "imported fighters". Like you think.
These people came to germany (mostly in young age) to live here! Just like my parents! And they just started boxing in germany!!! They are not imported fighters.
YOu just have no clue about what you are talking just admit this!
And you was the one who started this whole ethnic and heritage bla bla...

    True that...

    Rocco Marchegiano :deal

a third of 'muricans are 'talians....

..and yet you hear some Muritards ranting about europe, while they are nothing but a bunch of europeans/africans/russians/asians.... :deal:deal:deal

and the funniest moments are when they rant about british, while they are in high percentage british-blooded, and they share the same language (actually barbarized ) , metric measure and so on.

    'murritards... :-(

Whether it's been twenty days or twenty years, when you originate from another land but compete for the one you currently reside in you are still an import. :good There is no statute of limitations.
