Margarito's reputation may be permanently damaged, even in the eyes of typically loyal Hispanic fight fans, if his recent pay-per-view numbers are any indication. They didn't show much interest in his May 8 ring return against Robert Garcia, which followed a 16-month layoff after his license revocation for trying to wear loaded gloves. I was told by somebody who would know that the Top Rank "Latin Fury" card Margarito headlined did around 12,000 to 15,000 buys, which is pathetic, even when you consider it wasn't on the primary pay-per-view channel that night because of a UFC event.

even top rank pinoy power shows do more then that

No offence, but the only Roberto Garcia that mattered that night was in Margarito 's corner. (Trainer)

Hmmmmmmmmmm i thought they had sold out the arena that night ?

looking bad for tony although you can't say he doesnt deserve it , should be alright as long as arum is looking after him to try get him in one more big fight

but then again alot of people will be in a dilemma to buy the fight and give margarito a pay day or not

Generally speaking Mexicans have honor, so what Margarito did should be a bigger insult to them than anybody.

    Again, consider the opponent.
+ who the **** wants to pay to watch Margarito vs. a fighter w/ESPN type skills.

It might be true but you have to consider the opponent. I never heard of him before he fought margo. His next fight should be telling, unless it's pacquiao.

I don't know, but apparently Pinoy Power just barely turns a profit and Latin Fury cards with Chavez Jr. make him a sizeable return.

Serves the cheating ****er right, hope he keeps fighting in circus tents in Mexico and off HBO, Showtime, or ESPN.
