Remember all the Haye fans running their mouth how Haye is carrying a mental advantage and Wlad's alleged mental weakness will be his undoing before the first bell?

Here's Haye, in his own words:

Speaking with the BBC Sport, Haye said “I’ve looked in his eyes a couple of times in the last two weeks and he’s not phased one bit. He genuinely thinks I’m just an irritating little man who happens to have the title and he’s going to swat me across the face. I expect that because he’s had such a long campaign as champion that he’s not phased by me.”

Next thing you know Haye refuses to share the same room with Wlad

I think only wishful thinking Brit fans thought/think that Haye was winning the psychological battle.

I think wlad is smarter then haye he figured out hayes goals long time ago and just turned the whole situation to his benefit.
I would say that haye seems more affraid of wlad then the other way arround, it isnt that bad he just needs to prepare himself properly and do his best to win the fight.

"He genuinely thinks I’m just an irritating little man who happens to have the title and he’s going to swat me across the face."

Sounds awfully similar to what Sonny Liston felt about Ali, or Cassius Clay as he was known then.

u know i think is funny how fighters trying to get under someone's skin by doing what they ALWAYS do. haye could have gotten under Wlad's skin if he wasn't a chonic s**t talker to begin with.

    Source?

Doesn't sound good for Haye to be conceding battle ground. I'm rooting on Wald, but I want to see the best win. The best usually are confident.

i think haye knew this would happen which is why i think hes using a different stratagy of lettin wlad think haye is a beatin man..i expect haye to go more and more silent coming into the fight then hell start like a house on fire in the ring....ive said it before as long as wlad dosnt underestimate him hel be fine but do not under estimate haye

I actually thought Chisora did a great job getting under Wlad's skin in the pressers. He threw some lines at Wlad that saw him become a little irritated.

In these recent media appearances, Haye has basically just repeated all the same old lines he's been reciting for the last two years over and over again. Quite repetitive and old news to Wlad.

Good to hear. What I like about Haye is that he's pretty clever.

He should also understand that Wlad just didn't like getting disrespected and that's why he got pissed off. If I was Haye I would stop disrespecting Wlad, cut all the circus out, possibly even admit my wrongs, and just fight like a man.

how much does trashtalk actually work though? I mean..they are professional athletes. They KNOW the other guy is just trying to get inside their head.

It takes a hell of a lot of restraint to ignore when someone is trying to **** you off.

The magic hand had a much more significant effect than I thought.

I think you can get under anones skin if the right tactics are used, but Haye has used the wrong tactics against the wrong man. Lets not forget how many others have trash talked Wlad and what the outcome has been.

He has heard it all before and he just thinks Haye is childish.

IMO haye should now act like a gent, shake his hand, and be civil so Wlad thinks he has him, but come fight noght Haye should go at him guns balzing from round 1. That IMO would have Wlad more worried or at least thinking more in the run up to the fight.

  15. haye's clever? how many fights has he had at hw? how in the wolrd did he figure he could get into the head of one of the most dominant hws of this generation? talk is talk.
