It's a shame really, I suspect this fight would go the same way as the Maccarinelli one, Wlad opens very cagey then gets twatted.
dfTaylor...come on man?? You're a huge fan of anything Hayemaker, nothing wrong with that, you're a boxing fan and are bound to have favourites. I get the feeling you absolutely despise the Klits too, which obviously stems from your support. As Rob says, very good writer tho. As for the article, it didn't seem overly biased imo. Quite refreshing to see a British article being even slightly negative towards Haye.
Wlad Klitschko v Haye will be a boring fight anyway. Klitschko will just keep him on the end of the jab, Haye will run for a while, get broken down, tired and stopped. It won't be much of a contest. More likely, it wont happen, and boxing fans will be saved from the disappointment. :happy
I am a fan, never denied it - but I put that to the side when I'm writing. If I'm in the realms of my opinion, I state it as such. I like the Klitchskos actually. Was happy when Vitali won back his WBC with such an excellent showing, and when he deflated Arreola. Both his and Wlad's interviews are always interesting. I understand their approach to negotiations and controlling their destinies - but what's good for the goose... Heck, I'm even on record saying that I think Wlad will beat Haye. Having an opinion that doesn't match yours does not mean I'm biased. It means I don't agree with you. And you should probably be careful talking about what people think of each other - I'm not sure you'd be flattered by the return opinion.
I am not saying your bias because you don't agree with me. theres allot of your article that I agree with but it doesn't make you article balanced or unbias....because it it.
What's crap. Bias is: a particular tendency or inclination, esp. one that prevents unprejudiced consideration of a question; prejudice. Where's the prejudice? I say quite clearly both men are to blame. I present the facts, as relevant to that occurrence, without question. I just put them there for people to make up their mind. Putting the entire history would only be relevant if I want to put the bias towards Wlad's side of the story. If I had been writing about the whole sorry saga - that would be appropriate, but I wasn't, so I didn't.
I think he's probably lost the hunger to fight.I remember this thread . http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=264179&highlight=david+haye
I'll be honest, I don't read most of the nonsense regarding Haye/K2 because I'm bored of it, but you do seem far more defensive of Haye than any other fighter. That's not a big issue though, we all have our favourites.
It's possibly because I think too many people are overly harsh on him when, in context, he's not done anything that bad. Yeah - he's been difficult, but plenty of others guys have too. But I don't deny the facts - I just like to balance them out by looking at both sides. If it gets misconstrued as bias, ok - but that's not the intent and, IMO, not the outcome.
You never thought Haye was in the wrong to turn down 50-50 no options before. Everyone new what it was. This time is was the Klitsckos. Last 3 times it was Haye.
When did I say he wasn't in "the wrong"? All I've ever said is I understand why he didn't take the fight, same as why I understand Wlad made his demands. I understand why Wlad didn't want to go ten months without a fight. I don't blame either for having their priorities, but I do blame them for not both growing the **** up in the first place. There have been plenty of times either side could have compromised (including the 50-50 farce last year), but chose not to. One side is no more "right" than the other. It's just who you prefer. And honestly, I prefer neither right now. There are better fights out there, between far better fighters than the (historically speaking) rather mediocre Wlad and Haye. **** that, give me Montiel-Donaire any day.
whatever mate. this is boring. this is what I mean by failing to ever see anothe opinion. Since I said you were bias towards Haye 3 other posters have come on and agreed with me. Just give it up.
No one's agreed with you, you moron. Read their posts: has anyone said I'm biased other than you? No, the only mention of bias is that my article didn't seem biased. I understand your opinion, it's just demonstrably wrong.
