I'll watch it but I want everyone to promise not to talk about it at all beforehand. At least until 2 weeks previous to the fight. Can you all promise that for me? Please.
Lack of defense?? thats funny, cos I can remember Haye slipping the **** out of Wlad's piston jabs. He stood right infront of him at times and make Wlad hit air. He may lack the killer instinct at times, and I will admit that, sometimes he's not really doing as much as he could, but he doesn't lack a defense. Most of you guys were saying he couldnt do with Wlad what he did with Valuev, ie, making him miss, well he made Wlad miss a heck of a lot. Made him look pretty slow and lumbering in there. Vitali is older than Wlad, does not punch as sharply as Wlad and doesn't move as good as Wlad. He's a mean mother ****er and throws with mean intentions i'll give him that, but Haye, cos of the way he fights, has a decent shot against Vitali.
Common sense would say take the cash and beat up a guy you hate? surely? Vitaly wont get same money fighting some other bum. As much as he hates Haye he has to respect his ability to get morons to pay for his fights( Audley Harrison anyone?)
A lot of truth in your post except this bit. Wlad actually looked very fast just like Haye. Both men were able to evade each others offense quite well. I must be in the minority that actually enjoyed some aspects of the fight and wouldn't have minded seeing a second bout.
That is great, I always wanted to see this fight. I think Haye has a pretty good chance here as long as he doesn't stay overly defensive and throws more shots.
I always thought he had a better chance aginst Vitaly than against Wlad. But he also has a better chance of getting KOd. Vit in 9 or 10.
If Haye had any sense at all, he'd take his KO loss to Vitali, then KTFO Potvetkin, take a KO loss to Wlad, then KO Arreola, then take KO loss to Helenius then KTFO Fury, Szpilka and a few other prospects. He's only 31, and could probably win 2 or more titles betweens losses before he's 38, making maybe 50 million in the process. Even today, he's definitely the 4th best HW in the world, and only now growing into his adult frame. If he could bulk up to 235, he could give Helenius a run for his money, and Vitali is retiring SOON. He could be the 2nd or 3rd best HW for the next 10 years....... Seems a certain Joe Fraizier became a legend being the 3rd best of his generation. Haye is still basically a kid......he needs to fight on and beat some of these pretenders and cement his legacy.:deal
