Haye probably took a couple months off training and dieting. I wouldn't doubt for a second that he was a bit rusty. That's to be expected. Even a rusty Haye is not worse than a 45 year old Mormeck.

To be fair, I reckon he won at least 4-5. He was never going to win that fight unless he stopped Wlad, that much was obvious from the start.

Before the fight I would have said **** no, but Wlad caught him with some good shots, and I think Wlad has the most single punching power in he division.

Now, after the fight, I'd say he's got an OK chin. Not total glass like everyone says.

Watch the highlight clip and you see him blasted in the face with some good shots... just like Jenna Jameson.

People who want to see David KO'ed should be ecstatic if this fight comes off. Haye has ZERO chance to win that fight, even though he didn't do poorly at all against Wlad, in my opinion.

While you are correct that Haye's defense is a lot better than people give him credit for, you are leaving a few critical things out in your assessment of Vitali. Vitali has a very high workrate and seems to have very little respect for his opponents punches. He believes in his ability to take a punch and I think he would go at Haye like he did Briggs. The difference is, Haye is not a stationary plodder devoid of stamina who blows up between fights (which is what Shannon Briggs was against VK).

It's an interesting fight, but like Wladimir was before him, Vitali will be too big for Haye to mount any effective offense against. People like to say size doesn't matter. That is completely inaccurate, since size is only "dismissable" when a fighter doesn't know how to use their size advantage. Both Klitschko brothers DO know how to use their's quite effectively.

If it happens, then I believe Vitali wins this one by TKO.

Briggs was willing and ready to die in the ring against Vitali. I doubt Haye will be. If Vitali puts that kind of beating on Haye, he will quit.

Vitali will stop Haye when he chooses to. If Haye doesn't quit before hand.

Haye lacks pride. This is the same guy who thought falling down in the ring was a good tactic. And then graced us with The Toe.

He fought with a broken foot mate, he coulda packed it in during round 1. Haye has tremendous heart, he aint no Quitali! And Wlad ****ing pushed him to the ground and his personal ref let him get away with it :-(

Broken toe. Big difference. And it really wouldn't have mattered. The man lacks pride and humitlity, an odd combination to say the least.

But he has the chance to prove me wrong; just sign on the dotted line and fight like its his last fight. Try to win no matter what. His mouth signed off on some checks that need to be cashed. So far, they've bounced.

I'll give Haye his due in the HW division when he earns it.

you ever boxed before? Power comes from the feet up a broken toe is worse than a broken hand. The fact he gave Wlad the fight of his life, won alot of rounds with this injury shows how heart and pride.

If this happens then I see it like this here.....Vitali hates Haye I dont think Dave hates Vitali, but we all know that Wlad fought a protective fight in a manner that wouldnt allow Haye to get into the fight and gain any confidence. Vitali will fight a totally different fight to Wlad vs Haye, and will come out swinging desperate to K.O Dave, and this is where Haye gets his chance, Haye is too fast for Vitali and will pepper the face of Vitali and possibly force the stoppage on cuts IMO.

I have boxed. His foot was numbed before the fight. It didn't seem to to stop from from trying his usual wild jumping punches.

Him not landing wasn't the toe, it was the fact Wlad can move back 5 feet in two steps. Plus Haye advertises the Hayemaker, making easy for someone expecting it to avoid it.

Vitali has been stopped once on cuts by an ATG. Haye is no ATG. His power doesn't compare to Lewis'. Nor does his accuracy. Or Chin. Or Heart. Haye has none of LL's abilities.
