It's deals like this that's what's wrong with boxing. Fair enough a rematch clause, but then stipulating having to fight the other brother if one loses? I know it's what we would like to see anyway if Haye wins - a Haye v Vitali fight, but to contractually bind Haye to it on the back of two other fights is morally wrong. However, major props to David Haye :good. I've always admired his ballsy face-in-the-fire attitude and this time he's gone beyond. It puts to shame a lot of other fighters out there who talk the talk but fail to walk the walk. As I keep saying, you may not like guys like David Haye and Carl Froch, but man you have to respect them. They're setting examples to the rest of the world, and win or lose, I'm proud they're British and I'm proud of their attitudes. Best of luck fellas, I'm behind you 100% :bbb:thumbsup
Without knowing the details it seems that all Haye may have done is take the short end of a purse to get the champion in the ring like lots (most) of challengers have to do and then agreed that his next 2 fights after that will be the biggest/ best / well paid fights open to him, fights he probably would have chosen to take without being "forced"...no biggie. Those two stipulated fights after the first Wlad fight are as advantageous to Haye as they are to the Kilts, theres every chance it was was mutual decision between the 2 camps rather than something the Klits forced on Haye in a "or else" manner.
cheers mate i think Haye wants to fight both the brothers so i think that suits him but the money is crap i hope setanata pay him is the money terms that in all of teh fights or just the first wlad one
Cheers, I had hoped they would sign the bloody contract otherwise all that procrastination would have gone to waste!
This three fight deal may not end up coming to fruition anyway. If Haye really smashes Wlad up and ko's him in convincing fashion then it may go straight on to Vit??
thats what im thinking if he really does a number of Wlad i can see Wlad and Vitali retiring dont you? i think its a big safety buffer so they can guage him agains Wlad teh first time
well, they only part of that deal that i am concerned about, or curious about, is how much this setanta money could amount to..
dont think Setanta will make it PPV but i hope he gets a decent deal so he sets himself up financeully and can retire at the right time
you think theres not alot of money in boxing except the real big fights hell be well off but not enough to retire at 35 or so
****..just thought...we're going have to look at the fight in one of those startling / blinding snow white rings...hate those white rings.
