Haye got taken apart after that first round, dominated and Solis fought an amazing and perfect fight. Sure, he did almost get him in the 1st, but was schooled in the 2nd and 3rd badly, the stoppage was a bit early, but Haye was finished. Seriously, that was one of the most amazing amatuer boxing displays I have seen, brilliant adjustment by Solis after the first and it was beautiful how he took Haye apart.
And by the way, if he said this, very good. There are plenty of boring, slow plodders about and I'd like to see a quicker KO puncher with some skill for once.
i have been watching a lot of haye's recent fights and wlad's against aggressive fighters while trying to analyze their style matchup. i am very confident wlad would make haye look like an amatuer. i feel peter, chagaev, gomez, povetkin, and valuev would be more competitive. i would make wlad a big favorite. sorry haye fans
Haye talks to damn much, for someone that was stopped by Carl Thompson, he says some stupid ****..:-(
One thing I would give Haye alot of credit for is for not falling into the clutches of Mr Frank Warren. When a fighter in Britain turns pro and his clearly one of the top prospects in Britain the logical step that most fighters make is to sign with Britains top promoter Mr Frank Warren. But Warren molycoddles his fighters and milks their careers out with silly merry go round British tournaments and then maybe get them a WBU or WBO world title and milk their careers padding their records out with routine defences. Like Joe Calzaghe is a good fighter but his record of 45-0 and 20 odd WBO defences is not the great record Warren would have you believe - its padded out with so many bums. It takes a certain type of individual to resist the clutchs of Warren. Lennox Lewis was one of them and David Haye is also. Haye is to his credit above the nonense that Frank Warren would have managed his career if he had control of it. Haye fought Carl Thompson and wan the European title and went to Paris and wan the WBC/WBA crusierweight titles and all in just over 20 odd fights. If Warren was his promoter from the start he would have proably been protected all along and be WBO champion now and have a 35-0 record - an d fought no body. Still Warren is still trying to drag him down even now offering him good money to get invovled in his British merry go round. Surely the only reason in fighting Skelton is for the money otherwise its just a game of Warren
well i don't know wether haye will cut it in amongst the big boys, but i don't mind his trash talk at all.lets face it the heavyweight division at this particular moment in time isn't just thin on the ground in talent but also personalities.if he ends up getting knocked spark out,i think it's going to be a lot of fun along the way.
The trash talk is exactly whats needed in the division at the moment, the lack of personalties and talent is shocking, but like Wlad said 'Mr Haye talk is cheap'...... If he can back it up then his career could be very interesting
Haye would have Sam Peter blowing out of every single orifice in his body after about three rounds, and have him outta there in six or seven. One thing - why the need to carry two WBC championship belts, he has only just won the bloody thing! The only heavy who could give Haye trouble is Wlad, a guy whom I like - though hate to watch 'fighting'. I use the inverted commas because it is a long time since Wlad actually fought - there is a big difference between actually fighting and jabbing and running away like a six year old from a candy store.
