How anyone can like his arrogance is beyond me:-( Guve Haye credit for wanting to fight the best and test himself, but he has beaten todate an overawed Enzo Maccarrenelli, a nearly ko'd by a on the slide Mormeck, and has lost to a past his prime Carl Thompson. For him to talk about an established champion in Wlad Klitschko in the manner he has been and the rest of the heavys when his only win at heavy was against Tomas Bonin:-( , is very arrogant and its starting to put alot of people off him.
I disagree, I think if anything it puts Haye in the spotlight. The fact that he called out Wlad at what looked like a press confrence for his fight against Thompson, was a great idea, I think we all have seen Ali do the same, going into his oppenents camps trying to get under there skin and what not. The Heavyweight division is lacking Hype, which I believe, along with the lack in talent, is the reason why so many boxing fans rarely even watch the Heavyweight division anymore, there's no excitement in it. I personally dont like or hate Haye, but what he will bring to the Heavyweight division, is what some fans have been craving for a long time, a good looking, heavyhanded fighter, that's not afraid to go toe to toe with his oppenent, as well being excting behind a mic, something almost all top Heavyweights now are not. Love or hate him, David Haye is good for the Heavyweight division.

Admittingly I have not seen Haye fight but maybe 3 times However I hold to my opinion with Peter When Peter fought vlad he was al over him throwing many punches but Vlad fights well backing up with a great jab I donot know if Haye could stand that barrage for 12 rounds without getting tagged. Peter would just swarm Rock, paper, scissors
Haye looks good so far. He needs couple descent fights at HWT for me to start beleiving he's a serious threat. Good luck to him! He's trying to hype himself out and get some good fights. We need someone like that to stir it up a bit. Godly!
Good point, dont forget when he was waiting for a title shot with Mormeck he took the risky step of moving to heavyweight for one fight against a ranked opponent. No way would Warren have let him do that. I am a fan because he "puts it on the line".
If Haye wins a couple fights at heavyweight maybe he could take on the winner of Gomez-Virchis early next year.
Jeremy didn't have a nice left hook? Let's see if Haye could withstand the punch that Peter landed on Williams.................I think he'd fail that test. BTW, I don't have to like or respect Haye, he talks a lot of **** for a guy that's been knocked down by Cruisers.......................
Agreed, on the first point you made especially. The left hook Peter landed on Williams was one of the most powerful punches I seen landed live, David Gaye was floored by a partially blocked punch from a average punching Cruiser in Thompson, yet he's going to walk through punches from guys like Wlad and Peter, give me a break.
I know, it boggles the mind. Haye is a great HW because he said so...............:yep Jeremy Williams had a great left hook of his own too.
I thought the Wlad love around here was out of hand, at least he proved himself at Heavyweight, the same cant be said for Haye. I do believe he is a very talented fighter, but looking at his track record regarding his chin, it will only be a matter of time before someone lays him out cold.
Jeremy was a little nuts though he thought he could beat Lewis. Hmmm sounds a lot like Haye. Either Hay is nuts or he's a dang genius.:think
I´m rooting for Haye to do well in the heavyweights. We need the excitement he could bring. I hope he can turn out well and be a challenge for Klitschko. It´s hard to perdict anything because his chin is uncertain and also how much speed he´ll retain after moving up or how his power will be.
I'm looking forward to Haye's fights but I'll take him seriously when he actually beats some top ten heavys.
Judging from the limited footage of Haye that I've seen he leans in, pulls straight back a lot, leaves his left hand ridiculously low & he doesn't jab enough for it to be a real neutralizer. That desciption would sound a lot like Vitali Klitschko except that Vitali can get away with those kind of defensive shortcomings due to his chin & his size. Vitali actually has a good inside offense where Haye's is quite lacking. I don't think Haye's that fast either, & his footwork sucks.
