Dusseldorf is 45km away, Dortmund is 50km away. Not much in it.

The stadium is quality, I vaguely remember it from the last World Cup. I think's it's roofed as well.

I work with a Latvian who has just come back from Dusseldorf. Birmingham - Dusseldorf cost him £55 return and took 90 minutes.

It's where Schalke play and it's where England lost to Portugal on penalities again.

Been there twice, awesome atmosphere for football, but we all know how these German fight nights go down......zzzzzz

A guy in the general claims that tickets in the stands will be between 29 and 45 euros. Pretty cheap that.

You'd be lucky to get those kind of prices in the summer unless you fly from a London airport

Flights to Cologne, Dusseldorf and Dortmund are all a decent train journey away from Gelsenkirchen

Cheers for that little aside

Just been on the Easyjet site and you can't fly to Dusseldorf with them. You can, however, fly to Dortmund from Luton for about £45 which is worth considering.

I don't understand why more people don't just jump in a car and make a bit of a road trip of it.
