Why? Why did you write this? You really do have too much time on your hands. Forget this ****.

Edit: Yes, he really does need to fight Wlad. Not exactly a groundbreaking revelation. Let's just get the fight signed and done with - I'm beyond tired of hearing about it. Hearing all the rants from both sides just tires me out.

Ridiculous statement...roughly translated to "I dont like the fact you make more money then me"
People make it sound like he has made a career out of ducking opponents, the guy fought all comers at cruiserweight and looked good doing it.

If I was so concerned about people who made more money than me - I would be making threads attacking everyone who was remotely rich or famous.

A humble guy as myself - dosent get too concerned about the souless unwinnable rat race of life - of who has the most money - the flashest car - and the biggest house.

I would soon drop out of society all together and live in a cardboard box and live off scraps of food people chuck away and drink rain water - I collected from a tin - than live a life based on trying to keep other with others materialistically.

No he has paid his dues in boxing - and earned a few quid.

But whats the point in him fighting on now ?

The whole point of my post is - that Haye is not in boxing for boxing these days - so why not go now ? - he made his money - and so get out now.

The whole argument against my post is - that he should hang around to fight Wlad.

But he dont want to fight Wlad. - OK - he might be tempted by the payday. But he dont want the fight itself.

    exactly.

while he is still "active" - he gets all this undeserved media attention for what he says or does outside the ring.

Its dragging boxing down - when you got a guy making headlines - for all his talking - and stuff outside of the ring.

Then 6 months of inactivity is broken by a farce with Audely Harrison. :nut

Haye clearly is not about boxing these days - and should leave it at that now - instead of dragging this circus on any longer.

I dont want to log on to Eastside Boxing - or go to any sports news - throughout 2011 - and see threads and news and headlines - about Hayes latest empty talk or promises.

Its a waste of time -

Yes - he was a good crusierweight - but thats back when he was a proper boxer.

    If you say so...

And what is that based on? He says he wants this fight but apparently according to most on here he is a compulsive liar.

With that being your view, is it safe to assume you would rather Mayweather had retired after beating De La Hoya? He had made his money and nobody can say he's in it for anything else now...

Damn right - I am sure lots of people would wish that empty wind bag Mayweather would just **** off.

Like a poster says on this thread - these guys are cancers to boxing - because they drag boxing down and too much about what they say or do outside of the ring.

What do you want - to read a gossip column about what Haye or Mayweather have said or done now ? that stuff belongs in OK magazine with Carl Froch and his Bird. - or actually interested in real boxers and real fights.

Mike Tyson - regardless of his out of the ring madness - at least he was in boxing to do business - had nearly 60 pro bouts - even though he had 3.5 years of forced inactivity in his career.
Tyson said on Twitter - the best day of his life - was when he retired from boxing - because he over stayed his welcome - but I give Tyson all respect and credit - that when he was a fighter - he stayed fighting til the end. Now he has reitred - he is doing all kinds of dinner shows and commercial deals - fair enough - the man is done as a fighter.

I tend to agree with most of it, have enjoyed watching Haye over the years but since stepping up to Heavyweight not much has happened.

Guess its not all down to him, it's down to the modern era of boxing.

Make as much as you can without having to fight the best. If Haye wanted to be remembered in boxing he wouldnt retire on his 31st Birthday.

Another year and he'd probably be able to fulfill everything or at least have a go at unifying.
