So David Haye has actually decided to be an actual competitive heavyweight like everyone else? I'm staggered. What's brought this change of heart on? His last heavyweight campaign was nothing short of a farce and an embarrassment so lets hope he's serious about being a boxer again. None of this fighting once a year I'm billy big bollocks crap.
I think Haye has probably now realised that Vitali will retire and he won't get to fight him. So his best bet is get a ranking, fight for the WBC and hopefully win it, then force a unification with Wlad once again for big money. The only super fight for him is against Wlad if Vitali is out of the picture and everyone knows what motivates Haye, and it isn't the glory of winning a world title. Still excited he is back, the HW division is a better place with him fighting.
Very surprised if Haye next fight is on PPV on Sky, after his last two outings on PPV both Haye and Sky would be really pushing there luck
Depends how many buys it would get.. Remember it's ALL about £££ for Sky & David. His stocks gone through the roof since Derek and the jungle.
Two massive selling shows, regardless of the revisionist history around ESB. Sky would die to get him back on.
The thing about Haye is he can sell any PPV and make huge money. He will do so again. Its a no risk bet for Sky they could look at Haye and grant him a say 3 fight deal or whatever. First on normal Sky then a World title fight on Sky PPV. Dont forget Haye and Groves could well be a PPV card it self in 2 fights time for Haye. Haye and Groves both fighting for a World title on the same night. I could see that PPV happening be it in London or whatever with we say Andy Lee on the undercard as well and have it a type of Adam Booth's fighters all on the 1 card might be worth doing. Lee v Barker on the undercard in co promotion with Matchroom be a good card.
