I can't believe they've overlooked the one place that is capable of hosting a bout of this magnitude. The folks at the Rivermead Centre in Reading are ****ing furious.
Pfft, it was never, ever going to be at Wembley and I don't think anyone actually thought it would be. Did they?
I thought maybe all the enthusiasm about a John Ruiz fight may have been enough to clinch a Wembley fight. He just beat Adnan Serin and has fought 5 times since 2005 for 3 wins and 2 losses. All jokes aside ... it should be an interesting fight.
I'm cool with it being at the M.E.N even though the 02 is in my neck of the woods, its not really a proper boxing arena and more importantly London in general is not enough of a fight city to guarantee you a good audience in a filler fight compared to that greater manchester area. PPV? I know he's on that paper chase like everyone else but i think it would've been better to consolidate on some of that new found publicity and profile and not go back into obscurity cuz y'all know those casuals intrigued by David vs hairy from the hendersons ain't coming back for this fight. Why not normal sky or heck even better a one off terestrial deal to raise the profile further so by the time the Klit fight comes around a lot more know about it cuz they know and have seen Haye.
I want: Haye vs. Ruiz Khan vs. Maidana Katsidis vs. Barrios (WBO Lightweight title) Groves vs. Thrilwall - English title
