According to Haye, Briggs pulled out of their deal because it couldn't be shown on PPV as Briggs had failed in his promise to get a version of the WBA strap on the line. If Haye was ducking him, i doubt he would've talked it up so much and said fight on my undercard then we'll fight etc. If he didn't want to fight someone like Briggs he probably would've just dismissed it straight away
