if this fight happens, and it's a big if, i can see wk starting very cautious behind the jab and softening up dh and dispiriting him after afew rounds of being shut out.i can see haye getting frustrated and throwing wide bombs again which will be punished heavily by straight countering jabs and the odd backhand.i think it will be all over around the 9th or 10th.
the crux of this is that david is very hittable wheras the current version of wlad is definately not hittable.this is what will tell in this fight.

i must admit that i find it a bit tiresome that aside from two broken agreements when wladimir was available booth said they wanted vitali and in the run up to the aborted chisora fight(with vitali free and wlad obviously preoccupied)they wanted wlad!
i feel that this transparent 50/50 split with no options is more than fair to haye

That's strange. Because the interview I read had a lot more to it than two sentences.

    ^Was thinking that...

There is a video of the interview on BBC sport website.

He basically said he thinks the fight will happen in the new year and they are in negotiations. The interviewer asked if the fight doesn't get made then who else is out there. He then mentioned chagaev is mandatory and a southpaw so it wouldn't be a difficult fight for him to prepare for. Was then asked something to the effect of if the klitschko fight hasn't happened by october then will he still retire which was when he said yes, and that if the klitschko fight hasn't happened by then then it wasn't meant to be.

    This thread is very misleading.

Let's hope he's true to his word for the first time in his life.

The sooner he's gone the better as far as I'm concerned, other fighters deserve the attention that this **** always seems to attract.

It's just the game he's playing in order to put pressure on Klitschko to agree favourable terms. The Klits know as well as anybody that they don't want this massive payday to slip through their fingers and this is just Haye turning the screw a bit to try and move proceedings on

Read this aswell mate, it would be a big mistake for him to retire without fighting atleast 1 of the Klit bros. he wont be a unified champion and wont have the legend status

If only it worked like that eh? One big pot of attention for boxers to share out that will have more left in it for everyone else if David Haye stops being such a greedy pig.....?;)

Bingo. I'm not that bothered about the wait, it happens. But to retire without fighting one or both of the brothers would make a joke out of his career.

He is a badf joke nowadays. The guy I live with is smitten with him, just like every other casual fan, and they seem, to think the Klits are the "new" guys on the scene and need to prove themselves to him?!?! if he doesnt fight either brother and retires, it'll be the biggest waste boxing has seen for a while.
