Leaving aside your views on ducking etc, as a potential match-up I think it is vastly over-rated. I think it would be a dull, cagey duel with too much emphasis on defense. Thoughts?
Lost of fights can pan out that way, it probably would. It would still be tense because its an important fight and the strengths/vulnerabilities of the fighters lend itself to that.
Barring Haye chinning Wlad early and forcing lil bro to fight then yea it would likely go the same route as he rest of their defenses of late
Yeah it will be tense as there is intrigue in what might happen i.e. will Haye get chinned on the way in or will he land one of his own bombs, but I cant help thinking it would just pan out into a boring, tactical affair with few punches landed..... I think Haye v Adamek might produce a much better spectacle.....
I think that with any gargantuan heavyweight Haye fights he'll concentrate on speed and pot-shotting. There is no way in hell he's going toe-to-toe with either Klit. I firmly believe with speed, throwing bombs and moving in and out he defeats both. But it's the same with Mayweather v Pac, it will be a great event but not a great fight.
That could be a bit of a war no doubt. But unfortunately we might never see it because financially there's not a lot in it for Haye. Unlike the Klit fight or a Harrison fight.
totally disagree. The fight is completley different to Valuev. If Haye wants to win, he has to take it to them.
If Haye takes it to them and puts in too much aggression, indiscipline will follow and he'll get put down. I think Haye beats both as I said but by being smart.
Haye has more chance than any other contender at the moment, so it's better than any other potential Klit fight right now
I agree. This is heavyweight boxing - you cannot be reckless or you will get sparked early. The difference with this fight and the Haye-Valueu is that the Klits are quicker and technically much better than Valuev and this is the reason why I think Haye will get beat by both brothers if the fights ever happen. Haye doesnt have a great defence, it showed again against Ruiz - who despite getting a severe battering was able to walk forward and connect with Haye far too easily.
i like haye but i don't see him beating either brother. they are both so disciplined that they would let him sit back all night and i think he'd be the one who gets annoyed and start making mistakes. then he will be fighting their fight and he would be taken out
Against Vitali yes. Against Wlad his best option is to rush him early. Wlad will be scared senseless of Hayes power (He was scared of Ibragimovs power) and will go into a shell... he won't trade with Haye on the way in
Haye missed Sparring for that fight and admitted his timing was off. Sparring plays a big part into Hayes style of defense (reflexes) and if i remember rightly Booth wanted to call the fight off because Haye had missed Sparring. On a side note... watch the opening 30 seconds of that fight and watch how many punches Haye slipped
I think this is true for Wlad, less so for Vit. Vit is ageing and slowing now. Plus, I'm not sure I've ever even seen him hurt from a punch. I think Haye would pot shot his way against Vit. Against Wlad on the other hand though, he'd need to take the fight to him. Wlad is too fast at closing the gap for Haye's clumsy feet. Haye looked like SRL against Valuev because the big fella turned like the Titanic. Against Wlad, if he backs straight up like he did against Valuev, or tries to turn Wlad, he's getting clocked and snoozed. I think Haye knows that too. His best bet for me against Wlad would be to get inside and make every single shot count with the intention of blowing Wlad away. I dont think he can win a points decision against Wlad.
