haye v valuev - getting folk talking..

Yeah I think a lot of it is Valuev. He intrigues people, the 'David vs Goliath' theme works.

If Haye was fighting John Ruiz it wouldn't be half as anticipated.

 

I like how Sky are making him out be a destroyer

 

i saw this and thought the same, think it was when poggi broke his cheek bone.

think its gefinately the David and Goliath angle thats selling this fight, the world title adds a bit more interest to non fans. Sky have done a great job.

 

if only this was on terestrial, now that would've helped boxing, Haye would've become a mainstream star over night and a shoe in for that beeb award.

Sky have done a **** poor job imo. no replay of his fights like the thrilla with JMM, no bulid up shows (don't know what they have planned for the rest of the week) no boxing magazine/highlights spots, no boxing expert to go on football shows as a pundit to draw that soccer crowd, (like setanta used to do) apart from the stuff on SSN its been wank, we probabily think its been great because thanks to Lee we've seen all the SSN and consumed every other Haye vid.

Haye doesn't even get a mention on the sky news sports reports.

 

He's writing in the ES all week and the Lite is showing some interest too which helps get to a wider audience. Roach piking Him to KO Valeuv. To be honest in theory having boxing as widely liked sport is great. The reality of hearing people who have no interest say that big guy will knock him out easy is getting a little annoying! Still after Sat they'll have no interest again i'd guess.

Yep, quite a few of my mates have mentioned.the fight, which was quite surprising. Great for boxing!

i agree though, Haye has done a fantastic job promoting

 

Haye's diarrhea of the mouth gets a lot of interest.

 

Yeah, a lot of people I know are talking about it, people who are not into boxing at all.

They're all predicting a 1st round KO by the giant Valuev.

 

Some lad was talking to me about it today and he was shocked when I said I'm picking Haye to win .
