People never seem to remember that Brock is blind in one eye now. Sad really, I always liked Brock. Good for the sport.
Barrett is often a jinx to home fighters who get highly touted, Fields was exposed on a hometown Las Vegas show, Guinn was exposed in his hometown by Monte (little Rock Arkansas) Monte is one of those who loves to be the unheralded underdog, it brings out the best in him.. I say its a good test for his first heavyweight fight proper.... Haye should do ok, but can't relax for a second.. I am happy with the Opponent and am glad for David.. Its all up to him now...
Barret had great success with hyped prospects, Guin, Messi, The china chinned tall guy. Lets see if his success continues.
The only result that bothers me about his recent losses is.. Couser.. I know Cliff can fight, but he is no high echelon heavyweight.. I hope Monte brings his A-Game..
Exactly. ANd i didn't ear a lot of complaints about Pacman and JMM getting a title shot at their first fight in a new division... As for Haye-Barrett fight, where are (ridiculous) people who were saying Haye was afraid of Barrett? I guess they are now sayiing Barret is nothing... Anyway, i feel Barrett is not a bad choice for a 2nd fight at HW.
So he should fight Thompson who is ****, dull as **** to watch, and coming off a loss in which he did himself no favours? ****ing hell.
Which makes it less pitiful how, exactly? Did WALD fight Barrett on his 2nd outing at heavyweight? My post wasn't aimed at you so I suggest you go stick your head back in your mothers underwear drawer :good
I wonder what Barrett is doing differently in his training. His last three fights have ended rather dramatically by ko which is really uncommon for him. I did not see the last set of fights, so I don't know if he's bulked up or what? Is he lifting more or doing plyometrics? Anyone got a clue? If he brings the same power he has shown early in the last three fights to his fight with Haye, he could upset Haye very early.
