output only matters if it goes to points.....its not gonna be an accumulation of punches that wins the fight, it will will be a combo maybe a single punch imo....

punch output is not important if the ones you do throw are telling shots.:deal

It will be an awful "fight" but incredibly interesting to see what happens, if any mistakes are punished etc.

When you have as much interest in the fight as so many do, it doesn't matter as much if its a tentative fight, the fact that your on tenterhooks about the fact someone could go any min, absorbs you.

It will be boring but not for the reasons you pointed out. It's just going to be another Wlad fight. One where he dominates his inferior opponent, plays it safe until the later rounds and then eventually lets the big shots go and knock him out.

The only reason I'm excited about it is because it will be amusing seeing David Haye getting a hiding after all his carry on.

yep, value bet at 9/1. it should be close on the cards but i reckon haye gets it. haye kind of let things slip on hbo face off when he said he can outbox wlad. he is going to go in there trying to land his pot shots and avoid wlads jab. knowing wlad, he won't be agressive enough to take chances. it will be a 12 round phony war that haye wins.

Haye winning a decision? No chance. Steelhammer will dispose of Haye with the tactics you presented. Keep your money in your pocket. Haye has to be aggressive and pressure Wlad early or he's going to be in for a long night.

I'm expecting Haye to look for openings early and rattle Wlad. The Valuev type approach will not work - Wlad has higher ring IQ and Haye fighting on the back-foot plays right into Wlad hands.

And I agree this fight could potentially be a stinker with both being cautious and cagey. Haye can only make it exciting but that depends on his game-plan I guess.

I'd be very very surprised to see Haye box his way to a points win. Wlad is suited to the 12 rounds more than Haye and knows how to cut the ring (this isn't the joke Valuev). Wlad barely losses a round these days either, Haye will come unstuck late if he's still in there.

Haye attempting to win a points win = stretched out for the 10 count in the latter half.

    Steward > Booth.

Wlad is always going to be worried about the counters coming from Haye. He was pathetic in the Ibragimov fight. Even in his fight with chambers he was way too cautious. its all jab jab jab for the first few rounds with wlad. he barely loses a round because of his opposition. haye has the footwork and footspeed to win this fight on the outside without wlad landing many jabs or right hands imo. especially if haye is coming prepared for a marathon.

Wlad will not come out brawling like a one dimensional Tyson, but he will put on the pressure more than usual and that alone will be enough to KO the glass jawed terrified Haye.

Wlad wind by brutal KO in 3, it will be Wlads easiest fight in ten years.

I just don't see Haye looking for a points win. Wladimir is incredibly cagey early but as the fight goes on he begins to grind his opponents down and gets more aggressive as the rounds go by. I think Wladimir is better than Haye at conserving his energy and lasting for the scheduled 12. Haye will tire in the latter half with Wlad beginning to get busy in the process. Haye cannot move around and use head movement for the full 12 without being pondered by that jab.

Haye needs to end this inside 6 IMO.

Seriously, I'd be astonished to see Haye win a points victory in Hamburg Germany.

I genuinely see no way on earth this fight will be boring. If there's one thing the build up has shown is that Haye has already won the mental battle and got under Vlads skin.

In the HBO face off Vlad tries his hardest to stay calm like always, but at one point you can see him looking at Haye with pure hatred. I dont think Vlad will be able to keep his cool in the ring.

Did you even watch them on ring side? and the press tour after the face off? To say Haye has won the mind games is a stretch.

and btw its Wlad not Vlad.

Yeah i cant see much action in this one. Neither has the chin to get into exchanges.
