he isn't fighting him. move that to another thread, there r a million of them, lol.

haye has decided to move on now. so be it.

and like i said meehan fought for the mandatory spot vs chagaev and if chagaev can't fight then it will be meehan.

I too won't believe Haye will fight Chagaev, until I see him in the ring with him.

You might be right about Meehan. He is also 40 years old, so he looks like a perfect fit for a Haye opponent.

Had a look through the IBO 100 and the type of guys I can see him fighting in July are Meehan, Rahman, JC Gomez, Botha, Mormeck, McCall, Brewster, Whitaker, Oquendo, and, if he's desperate, a Tua, Maskaev, Tarver. And then maybe Holyfield late in the year in a farewell fight. With Haye, the least is what I have learned to expect.

mandatory=has to fight, not by his choosing.

im sure he would like to poach adamek before klitschko if he could.

and then fight vitali september time.

heavyweight boxing is at it's peak right now because we have so many charismatic fighters like the Drago brothers.

meehan was already the mandatory and then shafted, and became no.1 ranked but they let ruiz get ANOTHER shot. when chagaev returned they got the two of them to fight for it. BUT if chagaev was never going to gain clearance to fight for the title then they shouldn't have made meehan fight him for it.
meehan was ranked no.1 for over 2 years but valuev refused to fight him cause he knew kali would ko him, so he avoided him by fighting holyfield and ruiz etc.

and considering that meehan did ok vs chagaev after 2 years of inactivity and was having his best rounds as the fight got further, and has another fight under his belt, then he probably puts up a better show than chagaev anyway.

chagaev barely got past travis walker.

Barrett, Meehan. ...Its pretty bad when your fighting Hasim Rahmans left overs of 7 years ago. But, really Haye is more or less equal to those guys. actually, Rahman was the legit World champion for a minute, Haye has never been the real wold heavyweight champ.

yes for sure. although Adamek would be a better choice for Haye before Wlad if the DelBoy show goes off. Bigger money, better quality opponent.

This is however a more realistic synapses for Haye's final fights.

Gotta feel bad for Chag he won the eliminator and was gonna get his shot but like time after time another big fight is called over a health issue

we saw an ibragimov unification fail in what would probably have been a good fight

and a much anticipated rematch with Valuev fall apart

the only time he was healthy was when he fought Wlad and he probably wished he called out sick

Meehan lost the eliminator meaning he is the next highest by the WBA he has very little chance but who else is out there that Wlad or Vitali hasnt beat and is not lined up

Plus Meehan stands tall and is big and jabs

not to say it is anything close to the klits but it resembles them and is a decent tune up

WRONG. I checked to see what tickets were available around 10-days before the fight. And from every section in the arena, the TOTAL available seats were around 900 at that point....so it would have been sold out.

with meehan getting some of the ring rust off, it wouldn't surprise me if kali meehan ko'd haye. just think if meehan lands just one of the shots like that that felled williamson, haye will be lucky to be standing an hour after it, lol.

go and watch that and u will know what i mean.
