I just can't believe how inactive he is if this is his last yr. He could have fought the night after harrisson very easily. He could have take. Wlads place to fight chisora when wlad pulled out. Leaving wlads fight with del boy dead in the water. What the **** does he do all day

    I belive he will retire.
He's semi retired already. The guy barely fights, and when he does it's an exhibition against old men.

But if the notoriety dries up, he'll come back like they all do.

if he fights and beats vitali first, then he will carry on for wlad,no way will he want to retire a months early and not take wlads titles.

Haye should retire immediately. The WBA belt should also be retired. Now wouldnt that be great

I do believe him when he says he'll retire, because we all know that his main goals are:

    1) To be able to claim that he retired as a champion (even if its a shitty WBA belt).

    2) Not fight a Klitschko.

    3) Convince his fans that he did the best he could to get a Klitschko in the ring with him.

And the only way to achieve those goals is to retire ASAP, because we all know he won't be able to run away from the Klits for long, if he stays in the sport.

How much you think he has?

    Taxes:20-30%
    Booth:20-35%
    Sauerland:5-?%
    GBP ?
Camp costs, Haymaker Productions running fees, sanction fees, sparring partners, corner etc.

If he pockets even 35% from original purse he's done very good decisions on business department. [I guess]

    Who cares, paper champ, whatsoever.

He didn't earn that much to retire anyway, he'll be still around after the 2011.

I hope Povetkin beats him and he pushes up his retirement date...

Don't let the door hit you on your way out. Right not he's a non factor and won't be missed at all. However, if he does actually get in the ring with Povetkin I will take some notice.

Haye says 2 more fights and that's it.....

While Haye has given decent reasons why he wants to retire early, I don't really believe he will either. Seriously, if the guy wants to be an actor then he needs exposure in the USA, but he still hasn't taken a big fight here. Haye will want that big publicity match against Toney/Tarver/Holyfield before he packs it in.

As much as people dislike him, he's the only source of true entertainment in the division. He's the reason people care right now and, once he's gone, nobody will care yet again.
