Let's be honest folks, I would think Haye would want to fight the winner of the Toney/Rahman fight, rather than the loser. Why would Rahman be rewarded by Haye for losing? Beating Rahman puts you at square one still. But, beating Toney puts you in the championship fight with Wlad. Doesn't make any sense to me.

How many fighters are you a fan of who TKOd Holyfield, and made Hasim quit on the stool...that's a little more powerful than you'd like to give him credit for, I'm sure.

Glass Jaw Hasbeen Rahman has been knocked out several times. Let's look at this shall we?

    Maskaev TWICE
    Lewis in brutal fashion
Tua (where Rahman had a minute to recover in between rounds and still could not continue)

4 of his 6 losses are by KO. Toney went 15 rounds total and could not even knock Glass Jaw Rahman down.

Don't come on here and insult everyone talking about James Toney having power at Heavyweight. He CLEARLY doesn't.

Haye wasn't stupid enough to say he would "dominate". He actually showed a lot of respect for James. He definitley knows what's up when it comes to Lights out.

Of course he's not gonna say he would loose, so he said that it would be a good fight and he feels he'd either win by KO or if that didn't come he'd win a "Big" decison.

He also stated Rock will be the front runner. The only reason for that is he doesn't really want to test the waters at HW against a guy that can beat him on skill alone. He knows James would be able to box his ears off and his only chance is a KO, which isn't likely.

So I'm not knocking Haye for "AVOIDING" James. its a smart move if he wants a successful win at HW. But he's gonna be hearing it from the boxing world for ducking James. A guy who deserves the fight a lot more clearly than Hasim.

Terrible, Terrible prediction! :-( James has a better chance at KOing Haye than vise versa. Say what you want and try to validate it all you want but not even the FIGHTER himself (Haye) feels he'd KO James, let alone in 8 rounds. And his actions take it one step further in saying he isn't confident in beating the "Fatass" James Toney....otherwise he'd push for that fight, not the Rahman fight.

Toney is an overwight shot fighter. People talking about him beating Haye and even knocking him out are deluded. Yes Haye has his faults and he does run his mouth but he has backed it up so far. People make way too much of his loss to Thompson. He was naive and fought a silly fight and just gassed. Also instead of people pointing to him being knocked down by Mormeck why is there not more made of him getting right back up and sparking the guy out,in his own backyard. The man deserves respect for what he has done and what he plans to do. The only heavyweight i think would definitely beat Haye is a motivated Wlad. The heavyweight division needs more people like Haye-if nothing else he has people talking.

But Toney was on his way to knock Hasbeen Rahman out in the rematch, but we all know what happened...

And what will David Haye prove if he fights and knocks out Hasbeen Rahman? Nothing. Coz just like you said Rahman is washed up and has a glass jaw.

Nobody is saying that Toney is a big puncher at HW. But he can still land accurate well-timed power punches that will hurt. He can wear fighters down with that. I mean he knocked down old Holyfield, he knocked down John Ruiz (one legitimate KD, one push), and he stunned both Samuel Peter and Hasim Rahman. Of course he's not a big puncher at HW, how could he be, after all he's 'just a MW with HW balls', but it's not like he can't hurt his opponents either...

James doesn't have HW power. He has pop and he can KO a HW but it won't be a One punch KO. For what James lacks in size and power he makes up for in acurracy and timing. He places his punches very well and times his opponents comming in.

He is a slick old cat in the ring and he is able to create leverage by playing his oppoents and setting traps. It's really a thing of beauty that true fans appreciate. Toney would have to be titled a "Scientist" in the world of the sweet science that we call boxing. Unfortunately James is so easy to hate that many deny his accomplishements and ability...But you have to admit, the man has one hell of a personality to make people deny logic and fact all by how the man speaks or the things he says.

That is "charisma"!! At it's worse or finest is up to the individual! I think Toney is great....particularly in boxing. His personality is like wine, you either like it or you don't. but a true"coinsurer" of boxing or wine knows a great and is able to appreciate what makes that boxer or that wine so special!

That was my whole point Haye is clearly looking to handpick someone he thinks he can KO he has all but said as much in interviews. I do not think Haye would KO Toney and it would be very foolish if Haye takes on James Toney in his first Heavyweight fight. That does not change the fact that Toney has an abysmal record at Heavyweight against questionable opposistion.

Haye is a good fighter.....I think many are judging him by his HW accomplishemnts which at this point has been nill. But his potential is unlimited. He has skills...especially for a HW. Coming from the Cursier wieght division it gave him very good pro experience. There were very solid fighters he beat at Crusier wieght.

But James, although not winning many fights at HW...all due to contreversial happening, either before, after or during the fights, he's always been ultra competitive! He's also proven to be able to hang with the divisions best, he's also proven to be able to take the hardest of punches by the most powerful of HW's.

Haye has yet to prove anything in the premeir division of boxing. And though James hasn't really won at HW he's still someone EVERYONE at HW respects....from Wald, Vitaly, Rock...to Lachovich, Brewster and Haye. They respect the man b/c they know what he's cabable of....they also know that he's easily distracted and relys on his natrual instinct and ability as a true wizard of boxing....sometimes he laxes on his training which makes his fights more competitive that it would if he were to train like he once did.
