HBO biased commentating

    even though hbo wanted cotto i did hear emanuel s. and kellerman say several times that margarito was wearing cotto down.

    That was probably because they knew that to not state the obvious would be going over the line with biased commentating. Usually the whole HBO crew is somewhat biased, but not to the degree that Lampley was last night. Normally they will slightly favor the house fighter so that if it ends up being close in the end, possibly their commentary has fooled enough fans to cry robbery if their guy loses.

    They usually aren't completely out of control like Lampley last night. Kellerman was pretty bad. For instance in the 10th round he said "if you look at Cotto's face you would think HE is the guy losing the fight". Well Max, he WAS the guy losing the fight! Steward wasn't too bad as usual though.

    This is the same commentary team that declared pacs last performance was 1 of the best since Ali!!

    Folks- the key to listening to HBO commentating is to TUNE OUT Kellerman and Lampley. Just listen to Steward.
