Klitschko should have manned up and fought Haye.

It just proves that they are still overpaying for fights.

    Then why do they make Lacy-Taylor? Dawson-Tarver? Urango-Berto? Williams-Winky?

The heavyweight champ of the world is certainly more marketable than these worthies, no?

I hope they pass on many more Klithchko FIghts. I hate the Heavy Division but I would watch an Arreola/Haye over Klit fight any day

    WHAT STATEMENT?
I understand if the fight had been planned all along and HBO didnt want it, but HBO is acting like Wlad did something wrong. IMO this is a great fight from a bad situation and HBO should honor it. Its #1 vs #3...oh wait....HBO would rather show us Arreola/ McCline II if they could:nut

Haye would have kept making excuses to avoid getting KTFO. Haye should have manned up and taken his beating. When he losses to a Lyakhovich, Ibragimov or Arreola it will be for much less money.

That would be like not showing Lennox Lewis fights in the 1990s. You gotta show the dominant heavyweight, dude.

Less Winky, Tarver, Lacy, Taylor, Berto and Urango equals more money for fights like Klitschko-Chagaev.

If I were Wlad and Vitali I would sign a one fight deal each with Showtime just to make a point.

Back to my point of them overpaying for fights. Read the Thomas Hauser "HBO 2009" Article it explains everything. There is no reason for them not to show a Heavyweight unification fight with The Ring title also on the line. With HBO's Boxing budget (which is 3 times that of Showtime btw) there is NO EXCUSE for them to be in budget trouble in June which is only half way through the year.
