    Exactly.

The absolute BEST fight in boxing that could be made right now is Mayweather Bradley. I'll concede that Stevenson Kovalev is a damn good fight, one I'd like to see, but it comes nowhere near Mayweather Bradley. Not even close...

And exactly how many PPVs has Kovalev sold?

Don't you kinda have to be in the mainstream in order to be a PPV draw?

With all due respect Cleverly wasn't that good to begin with. I knew he would get knocked out. Simply a domestic level fighter that got lucky by wining a vacant belt and exposed as soon as he stepped up.

Did you see what Kovs did to Campillo? And look at Campillos last couple of fights before he ran into Kovalev. I really really dont think you guys realise how great Kovalev will be. He is a ****ing destroyer! And he's not only hungry, hes STARVING.

You guys hype a fighter in Hopkins that hasnt finished an opponent in ages.

You wont buy into the Kovalev hype, but you'll buy into GGG?

It's not a PPV fight. They're not well known enough amongst casual fans. The fight would drown if it was PPV, they don't have the fan base.

For us boxing fans though it's got to be right up there with the best fight in boxing, and with the right promotion it could be the highest drawing fight of the year.

    I'm now convinced that YDKSAB.

Hopkins has one of the best defenses the boxing game has ever seen - and there's nothing exceptional about Kovalev outside of his power.

A 40 y/o Hopkins takes this guy apart EASY. 49 y/o Hopkins is at least 50/50...

I like Kovalev. I'm buying into the hype! I said he has good boxing skills in that post you quoted.

I'm not hyping Hopkins at all. Hopkins was 40 ten years ago. The 40 year old Hopkins that fought DLH was a much more proven fighter than Kovalev.

I agree with this. A 40 year old Hopkins would school Kovalev he's tailormade for him. The current version I would make the slight favorite.

Yes, but a 40 year old Hopkins is not in the mix. hopkins will retire before he fights Kovalev

Fast and Kovalev don't belong in the same sentence is he Angulo slow no but he doesn't have fast hands. Not the type of hand speed that troubles Hopkins.

A 40 year old Hopkins would hold onto Kovalevs arms for dear life. It would be a wrestling match.

Kovalev is very good at cutting off the ring.

Hopkins is too old for someone as strong as Kovalev. He doesn't need Calzaghe / Dawson's handspeed to dominate Hopkins at 50.
