If Fury gets by Chisora then Fury-Klitschko would have a notable media lead up. Imagine the trash coming out of Fury. It would be priceless.

Yes that's the main reason I see for this not happening. K2 are known to be very hard to deal with but coming into negotiations with a title would give anyone leverage for a better deal.

Fact is whoever win between Stiverne and Wilder will be seen as an easier way to earn a title. Unless HBO, RTL and then K2 stump up enough cash to make it worthwhile for Jennings to take the fight now then it might not happen.

Don't know if you heard the news, but there are rumors that Fury is fighting one of his countrymen (some dude named Chisora) in an eliminator next week. The winner of that bout gets the WBO #1 status (like Leapai before them :D) and is certain of a mandatory fight with Wlad + better payday.

But of course it's just a rumor at this stage...

I assume that's with his cut from K2 promotions and advertising revenue and any other extras as the purse bid for Wlad/Pulev was only $7.25 million with him taking 80% earning him $5.8 million.

Jennings did an Ask Me Anything once. He was really arrogant, thought he is unbeatable .. he even said people shouldn't compare him to Holyfield anymore because he is better than Evander ever was.

Jennings is not ready to take on Wlad and I think it is a great decision not to pursue that fight.

Hell, if I were Jennings I would at least wait until Stiverne/Wilder was through and take my chances against the winner. Actually, I favor him against both... A lot more money in a unification fight for him.

Jennings is 30 and hasn't fought anyone from the top 10. If he is offered a fight with Wlad he should jump at the chance provided he gets a decent cut.

He has solid wins over Perez, Spzilka, Fedosov though... I think you're being a bit too critical.

Jennings has fought better fighters than both Wilder and Fury have.

Especially Wilder.... Fury at least has wins over Cunningham, Chisora, and Kingpin. Wilders 3 most noteworthy wins are Shot White Wolf, A-farce, and Malik Scott :patsch

Jennings might be 30 but he's not used up and still has a great career ahead of him. Why should he jump in there with Wlad when he has no answers for Wlads big man's defense. In all probability he will get knocked out. The money is not that great considering he has a chance to make more while maintaining his record and sharpening his skills.
