Confidence builder for Ortiz. They need to keep moving him very carefully though.

ortiz is one hell of a fighter. if they keep him in there with some guys who will give him a decent amount of trouble and allow him to develop a little more before he gets in there with another maidana, bradley, etc. he's going to be an absolute beast.

140 is pretty stacked right now. I dont favor him over a lot of guys. he isnt mentally tough enough.
bradley, maidana, khan, alexander, urango, holt

and some other guys have him in a tough fight and would beat him.

I hope GBP feels as good as you do, so that they make a Urango fight in 2010.

it is a deep division, but i think he'd beat maidana in a rematch, he'd knock the **** out of khan and holt. not sure about alexander and urango's one tough mofo so those are toss-ups for me. imo, he's far more talented and will beat most of those guys. the kid's awesome. he's got dynamite in both hands, he's got a good chin, great boxing ability and is technically very solid, fast hands. he's the whole package. too many people are seeing the maidana fight as making him damaged goods instead of teaching him how to handle a guy who can bang like he can.

I've no way to see the fight. How aggressive was Ortiz? Was he outboxing Diaz?
