HBO should bring in Paul Malignaggi or tarver to replace steward

I think Roy is an excellent commentator and just coming into his own.
Wouldn't mind seeing Tarver broguht in to replace Jim as the play-by-play man. I think he would be excellent at it.

 

Jones Jr. is one of the best commentators. He's always aware and informative during fights.

 

Roy is 10x better than Paulie. Paulie looks around way too much and doesn't seem that professional there during interviews.

 

I'm just laughing thinking about Roy and Tarver trying to talk smack to each other while covering a fight. No way those two could work together but it would be funny as hell.

"That was a good straight left. Similar to the one I knocked you out with Roy."

"Yeah, well Roy Jones is still a better fighter than you'll ever be."

"What's your excuse for getting knocked out so many times recently?"

Hell, they might even fight ringside while another fight is going on in the ring.

 

Tarver got fired by Showtime when he tested positive for PED's against Kayode. HBO ain't touching him with a 10 foot pole.

 

That would be another positive. It would be great, two fighters one who judges off of feel and is great at pointing out adjustments the other more analytical and equally adept at analyzing and then Max in the middle to guide the ship.

I get where you're coming from, but it does have the potential to become comedy gold.

Personally, I would love to hear Virgil Hunter do color commentary a couple of times. I would just like to get a better understanding of what he sees and how his mind works.

 

Virgil Hunter talk too slow to do commentary.
He would be like Merchant 2 weeks ago, getting lost in conversation.

 

Paulie does a good job and Roy Jones as well. No disrespect but HBO in the last few big fights or big names involve was obvious at times they were not recognizing some of the things that were occuring in the ring and being a bit bias. Wouldn't mind seeing fighters like Paulie or Roy be part of the HBO team, not afraid to speak their minds most of the times.
