This. Whyte is a complete waste of Wilder's time. If Wilder can't get Joshua then Parker, Browne, or even Ruiz are all better opponents than Whyte are.

For that kind of money Wilder could have bought the whole of Alabama and lived as the self styled King he clearly wants to be.

He doesn’t think that money is worth the risk which tells you all you need to know about his mentality.

Wilder fans are fraud boxing fans. It's impossible to back him. There isn't one negative taking the Whyte fight unless you have no belief in thinking you can win ! Miller said it perfectly

True but it is sad Wilder won't take this easy money for an easy win, raise his profile and actually get a AJ fight.

Given what happened via Ortiz I have the feeling the WBC said no to this fight... Lucky for Whyte because I'd imagine he would be doing a long stretch for PED abuse right now if that fight had come off..

The only way the WBC are going to let you fight Wilder if you are Stiverne level or below otherwise the PED train will be steamrolling you...

Its not easy money. Him or his team know its a potential banana skin, hence the flap at all costs. Whyte has a very good chance of making team Wilder take a major pay cut or even redundancy if they fought

to be fair to wilder he signed to fight ortiz for less money for reasons i did not understand
    a much harder fight .

albeit as suspected by the majority the fight then fell through and wilder is left with stiverne a fight no one is really intrested in.

someone show this to DAN RAFEAL on espn lol... he loves to say that if you talk to wilder for 5 minutes you can tell he wants to fight the best... I bet this would shut mr dan up... one of the more biased boxing writers anyway... if he likes you like he does wilder you can do no wrong lol.

If you read back through some of the points on this thread you can quite clearly see why it wouldn't be a waste of Wilders time. It's a lot of money, a fight he'd get credit for and a bigger profile in the UK which makes the fight vs Joshua bigger since Joshua is from the UK (So UK fans obviously know who Whyte is).

Not only is it a massive pay day in this fight but it set's up an even bigger pay day vs AJ - Only reason he wouldn't take that is because he's scared, I don't see how people can keep making any other excuse when this fight makes so much sense.

I mean, can he just accept the fight given the WBC have now made Stiverne the mandatory again? I don't think it's as simple as that and Hearn is the type to use this angle to make Whyte seem like some killer, which he really isn't.

I hate the Stiverne fight but that's on the WBC. If they came out and said "yeah we'd consider swapping them" then so be it but it isn't going to happen

I see nobody making a defense for Wilder fighting Stiverne over Whyte. Literally nobody. Sounds to me like you just made up an excuse to have a pop at the people who follow Deontay Wilder.

You clearly haven't seen the drivel the resident Wilder fanboys spew on here. This is also in response to Wilder turning down Hearns offer to fight Whyte some months back. Think before you come at me next time.

No , I have seen plenty of drivel , but defending his decision to fight Stiverne over Whyte is something i have not read anywhere around here.
