We all know the TRUTH... Carl COULD'VE gave Andre Ward or Dirrell if he wasn't afraid to lose again. He if could beat them he'll take the fight.

Let's face it.. he knows he will not win and should stay retired

we know froch offered ward a rematch but the latter declined. and dirrell still hasn't done anything to warrant a rematch (faking brain damage doesn't count).

funny that the only people claiming it would fill wembley are from different countries. they evidently seem to believe they know better than the people living here about ward's lack of profile.

    :nod

I doubt it would even completely fill the City Ground.

One thing that people forget about the first fight is Froch was even that well known over here to casuals. He'd been fighting at all hours in the morning in the Super 6 while the likes of Haye, Khan, Hatton etc was much more strongly promoted.

    What offer did Froch make?
Was there a contract written up? Were there negotiation?

Frochs "offer" meant as much as Wards "counteroffer".

Calling people out in the media isn't an "offer"

If Froch and hearn repeatedly saying in public that they weren't interested in fighting Ward for 2-3 years is selective, then there's not much point in talking to you.

Froch wasn't willing to travel down the road to avenge his defeat. That says it all.

Ward doesn't need this fight for legacy. Ward has already beaten Froch with a broken hand. That's what will be in the record books forever.

And Froch wasn't willing to travel down the road to even to try to avenge it.

The fights never going to happen and at this point,I don't really care.

I'm much more interested in Ward-GGG or Ward-Kovalev now.

    ...Although Id still go!

you keep telling yourself that. specifying where you won't fight doesn't constitute a counter offer.

yeah, froch and hearn gave quotes which suggested ward wasn't of interest during his extended inactivity, but when push came to shove, made an offer which was refused, then waited for purse bids that never happened. meanwhile, ward negotiated with the 2nd best smw smith at a catchweight in oakland.

the records will show froch had his farewell fight over a year before ward's return.
