It's Eddie's job to keep AJ in the forefront of everyone's mind and the best way to do that is to diss both Fury and Wilder. He is not doing anything different to Frank Warren who literally says something about Eddie/AJ every interview.
As far as the Linear Champion comments I do agree with Eddie. Fury keeps spouting on about being this Linear Champion however it's non existent. If a fighter retires a World Champion then does it mean every Champion after that is not real - No is the answer so Fury needs to box his way back to titles and until then stop going on about linear champions.

I used to like Eddie in bits and pieces. In fact, before Wilder/Fury was announced, I was really wishing him well with his goal to conquer America.

However, since Wilder/Fury was announced, and especially since the fight took place, Eddie has been nothing but a d.i.c.k.h.e.a.d. He's acting like the spoilt child he is.

There's more than one elite heavyweight in the world Eddie, get over it. The irony is Fury was at the top before AJ. Just goes to show how easy they had it before Fury came back. Eddie's carry on is so needless and petty.

Not when Joshua isn't fighting either of them anytime soon, which he isn't. I don't think he'll ever fight Fury, the politics around telly and the personal animosity between the promoters is too much. This is probably why Eddie's gone in with the veiled insults at Fury already tbh. He doesn't really care. He's far far more respectful of Wilder weirdly enough.

If you think Frank and Finkel/Haymon aren't plotting to phase Eddie out stateside HW wise you're dreaming.

It’s been in existence for over 130 odd years. Whilst i’m personally not that bothered about it, it is still relevant enough for it to irk EH and AJ quite clearly. People are talking about another British heavyweight now and they don’t like it.

He’s stated that he’s not interested in Fury at the minute, yet after the Parker fight he was calling a then 10 stone overweight Fury out in the ring and tweeting him to ‘get fit you fat f***’. I get the wanting Wilder thing...but until he agrees to fight Fury & beat him, people are gonna keep calling him out on it.

Like it or not, Fury has yet again gone to a champions back yard and out boxed them. He’s set the benchmark yet again.

This is one thing I agree with not only Hearn but others too.

It's means absolutely nothing to me and means nothing in general, why do people keep mentioning this?

For example, Mayweather is a 5 weight world champion, that is how he is introduced, did Mayweather win the "lineal" title at every weight class?

Can I please have a link to a picture of the lineal title?

Also as for Fury, let's say this BS lineal stuff is legitimate, Fury tested positive for banned substances and retired, so not only does his win against WK have to be questioned he retired for 2 1/2 years.

So at what point doesn't a fighter forfeit this imaginary title?

Also let's just say Lennox Lewis announces a return to the ring does he claim it?

It's a joke, I find it embarrassing, go and win world titles and beat the man nearly everybody regards as Number 1.

    Right, Hearn being contradictory..

Did anybody see Hearn say Brook was a "small light middleweight" a few weeks ago, after Brook said he would he going back to 147 Hearn said something along the lines of "Brook is a big welterweight but a small light middleweight".

Now correct me if I'm wrong but when Brook signed to fight Golovkin Hearn was telling everybody who would listen Brook was a monster at MIDDLEWEIGHT, how he was amazed he managed to make 147, his ideal weight would be 154 and he would be a monster at the weight.

Well apparently now, Brook is a small 154lber.

Errr link? I want to see the lineal title belt?

Did Mayweather win every lineal title? Did Pacquaio? So what does it mean?

It means nothing, it's just something Fury fans can cling on to because Fury doesn't own any belts.

    Also, please answer these questions..

when does a fighter forfeit this imaginary title? Are there rules?

What does a fighter have to do? Lose? Lennox retired so surely while he is alive he owns it? Or would Fury lose this title if Lewis announced a coimeback?

Fury retired, surely the minute Fury retired he gave up that imaginary title and the next man to hold the belts takes it?

Just because Fury returns a few years later and let's not forget after testing positive for banned substances doesn't mean he can just claim he is Number 1 and we all have to accept it.

Fury has to prove it and prove himself all over again.

Fury should be wbc champion let's be honest it's the general consensus of the boxing world..he's also the best heavyweight in the world even now imo but he has to prove it obviously. Imagine if fury had the belt do we think Hearn and joshua would be so vocal about fighting fury?..Hearn knows or at least suspects that Tyson would beat aj you can tell he's not keen.

All of this is a bit of a moot point. All these titles are there to show is who the ‘best’ is, and we have three claimants to the ‘best’ (although Wilder’s is weaker as he should have lost). Do we really care who linear is and who holds the ABC belts? No, we care about who is best between Joshua and Fury. If Joshua gets his hands on all 4 titles, lets not pretend he will keep hold of them all. He will vacate at least one straight away. And let’s not pretend that linear is something sacred that can’t be manipulated or bought just like the ABC titles. Just look at the debacle at MW over the past few years.

39 years old and his knees shot to bits, long reigning MW lineal champ Sergio Martinez champ lost his title to Cotto at a 159 catchweight.
Cotto then defended vs Geale at a 157 catchweight.
Cotto lost the title to Canelo at a 155 catchweight.
Canelo defended vs Khan at a 155 catchweight.
Canelo vacated his WBC belt (but not lineal title?) rather than fight Golovkin, and instead fought and beat Liam Smith for his 154 WBO title.
Canelo then fought and beat Chavez Jr at a 164 for no titles (apart from some trinket the WBC made up on the spot).
Canelo then drew with and beat Golovkin at 160 (finally!) but the general consensus was that Golovkin was robbed on the cards both times.
Canelo then defeated Fielding at 168.

All the while this was going on. Golovkin was generally regarded as the best MW in the world. While there’s no ‘break’ in the lineage, there sure is a whole lot of BS going on!

After Joshua beat Klitschko he shouted into the mike:
"Tyson Fureeeeeeeeeeee. Where you at babeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
The casuals cheered and fist-bumped the darts fan next to them.

I quite like Hearn but annoyingly he’s managed to add Michael Buffer to his propaganda machine.

In Buffers shoes I’d probably do the same as no doubt he’s being well paid.. but it is a bit grating to see Buffer seemingly incapable of independent thought. He refused to say on twitter who he ‘really’ thought won out of Fury and Wilder and even was tweeting about how fighters with a draw on their record are no longer perfect records.

Someone who should be an iconic boxing figure will just be seen as a sellout and matchroom shill at this rate.

Hearn, "What even is the Lineal title, it mean nothing".

    Next interview...

Hearn, "This weekend, we have a great 50/50 fight for mandatory status for the WBC Silver Title".
