Think and know are two totally different things.

Eddie THINKS Brook vs. Alexander can still happen.

It seems to me Eddie is no more clued up than the average boxing fan, the only line of communication with Schaefer, seems to be a text message here and there, or when they decide to get in touch. They are running things and Eddie doesn't really know whats going on. He has no power or say in the matter, and yet he is supposed to be promoting the other fighter involved and the challenger to the belt.

I feel sorry for Brook in all of this mess. He was "gutted" when Alexander pulled out with a bicep injury, it got rearranged, I wonder how he feels now?

The reality is, it aint happening any time soon, even when the injury fully heals, Alexander wont wait around for Brook, and Brook will fall by the wayside, Brook needs Alexander, Alexander dont need Brook.

    Mandatory or not.

Would be ironic if Lee Purdy got the shot at Alexander, although I fear he would get his head boxed off.

I think thats what would happen, and Alexanders a decent puncher also, but if given the chance,he'd probably be wise to take it,he probably won't get one like it again.Cant see it though.Looking at the ratings above, they don't look too impressive, thought it would look better.Brook certainly one of the best.Wheres Provodnikov,is he in another division?Seriously,if thats all there is in the IBF,I could see Brook/Alexander in Sheffield in 9/12 months time.Hopefully,Kell gets a fight in between, hopefully with someone a notch above Jones,i.e.,his best opponent to date.
    Thanks for the video BTW.

    Good interview. Enjoyed that.

A small aside, Eddie saying Kugan looked like one of Run DMC, 'the ones with the clocks round their necks'.

He actually meant Public Enemy but after asking about Eric Clapton I think it's fair to say Eddie is more of a traditionalist when it comes to his tunes!

He did look like a big smurf though, the picture of him kipping in the van is pretty amusing.

Yeah Eddie is definitely a middle of the road guy when it comes to music. Bet he's got the Best of Sting and 21 by Adele in his car.

Yeah I can see him grooving to a bit of REM followed by the Stereophonic's when he fancies a bit of "the hard stuff" from time to time. Have to mark him down for that suit too, a pale off blue/grey with a blue shirt and no other colour to off set the dullness is a poor show from Eddie, he's set the bar reasonably high and needs to deliver more in the fashion stakes than that if he's going to be giving it to everyone about their gear! Next time Kugan interviews him he should actually wear an enormous Flava Flav clock just to take the ****!

How ****ing lanky is Eddie Hearn?

He said Kugan was 6ft 5 and they looked about the same height?

Unless Eddie was rocking some Cuban Heels....
