Who will you go for and why? The original Hitman, Tommy Hearns, or the Executioner, Bernard Hopkins?

I'd pick hopkins in a tight decision, but I suspect it would be very close. Potentially a disappointing fight, not sure how their styles would gel

I'd go for Hopkins, in another Hagler Hearns fight, Hopkins v Hagler is the one I'd wanna see most..

I'd cautiously go for Tommy on points.

There's not much to choose between them size wise..... Hopkins couldn't outbox Hearns over 12/15 rounds and would have to get Tommy out of there.

I'm not convinced he hits hard enough to stop him with one shot..... and would have to eat plenty in order to get his own shots off.

Tommy points. I think he would bank too many early rounds for B-Hop to claw back in a very close fight

No way in hell would B-Hop wanna engage with that right hand of Tommy's. Hagler might have walked through bombs but the man has a head of iron and Hearns broke his hand.

This one's all about timing. Hopkins is capable of darting and throwing those combos that could hurt Hearns but I don't think he could put him down. If Hearns boxed like he did against SRL in the early stages then I'd give him a shot.

Damn, I dunno. I'd go for Hopkins in a split decision.

    :good

The one guy Hopkins wouldn't be able to mess with, fight dirty with and get away with all those spoilers is Hagler.

    Hagler would grind him down.

Very tough one. I think Hopkins would be really cautious which would increase his chances of not getting hurt, but probabily decrease his chances of winning a decision. Hearns has one of the very few jabs Hopkins would not able to take away. It would be a very close and ugly at times IMO with Bernard 'spoiling' on the inside and trying to smother Hearns more out of survival then anything. I'd take Hopkins on a tough decision.

Hopkins would make it very difficult with his spoilng and his inside work but one of his main weaknesses is speed, which Tommy has in abundance. I see him doing enough work with the jab and outside work to take a close decision.

Hopkins decision, He has a solid chin that I think could withstand a Hearns right if it slipped in Bernard would smother Hearns spoil on the inside and use his size advantage to bully hearns. good fight :good

Hearns by either points or tko.

Nobody outboxed Tommy and Tommy has the jab and power to keep Hopkins at bay.

Ray Leonard outfought and, arguably outboxed Hearns in their first fight. A fight of two fights when each man went from the boxer to the brawler and back again.
