That's how I'm looking at it. Hearns likes to bang too much in this fight. Abraham has a chin and Hearns' chin is known to fail him when tagged with bombs. I wouldn't be "surprised" to see Hearns win the fight, but I have a feeling he gets put out before the final bell. This is one of those fights where I believe Hearns is the better fighter, but I see him getting caught with a monster shot and stopped. Edit: Good thread, by the way. Interesting stylistic match-up to consider.
i feel the same as you. On my list: Hagler/Duran-Leonard tied/Hearns. I'm a big fan of all four(Hagler the most) but i see Abraham by KO being the most likely to happen because Tommy loved to trade. He possibly could've beaten Barkley had he fought smarter. I'm glad my boys Nunn & Duran beat him lol.
Who I like the most depends on whose tape I'm watching the most when I make that decision! All four were so dynamic in their own way. Very, very compelling fighters.
Hearns would kill him,he dosent throw enough punches, except when he opens up,Hearns is the 1 fighter you cant fight like that,he'll abuse him brutally, and Barkley got lucky.
To me it goes like this Hearns,Leonard,Hagler.......Duran,The Hit Man was by far the most dynamic and entertaining out of the four, his wins post fighting all of them is the most impressive out of the 4 he was still dominant far past his prime, all 4 will beat the **** out of AA.
If hearns fights him the way he fought Hagler, he probably meets the same fate. Only quicker. AA has much better chin and hits much harder. More likely, Hearns keeps a bit more caution about him, and easily outobxes Arthur, increasing the pace as the fight goes on. Hearns by wide UD or possibly a late rounds stoppage by ref, doc or AA corner. But AA has the proverbial punchers chance.
True, very true and I know it is a hard decision amongst many when determining who they like in order. For me, Hagler became my fav because I got his career set first and thus have seen alot from him(was watching his fight with Briscoe today lol) and I like his style the most. I wish to get Leonard's career set for my bday and Duran & Hearns before the year is up. With Leonard and Duran, it's very hard for me to like someone more out of the two so they're tied. Nothing wrong with Hearns but he's last but I'm still a big fan of all four.
Duran is clearly last me and many other people dont give a **** what he did against B level lightweight competition outside of Buchanan that all the bull**** sissy ass so called historians say. A man like Duran that quit in a fight and that wasnt dedicated to staying in shape could never be rated over the other 3,plus Hearns did something Hagler or Ray could'nt do he nearly put his ass in a coma, the other 3 you can can pick who you want but Hearns clearly had the most well rounded career out of all of them
Hearns beats the crap out of him look at how well Taylor and Dirrell did against that guard ..Hearns is much quicker than both with more power !
Hearns wins every round possibly stops AA on accumulation but AA has a puncher's chance against a somewhat chinny fighter like Hearns.
