i think alot of People are totally missing the Point of the thread!! nobody is saying kabayel is a Special Talent. it´s the Question is why Arent People lining up to fight him.

YES, he doesnt have a big Name! but he still offers a big Prize to the Victor: The EBU BELT and a top ten ranking with the organisations. and THAT is a big deal!

In other words: the guy is low Risk and high reward!! this is the guy every euro prospect should lining up to fight.
you may not earn big bucks beating him, but when you beat him, your next fight could be a Million Dollar jackpott.

but fact is: nobody seems to care. i dont get it. if i were in the Management Team of yoka, Gorman, dubois, joyce, Price, hrgovic….whoever. getting this guy would be my number one priority!

So what is up in 2024 guys? What do you think of Kabayel today?
Some Years have passed and I am here to tell you, that most of the comments did not age well :aplastao:.

Kabayel is now at 25-0 and he has some good names in his resume and he was the underdog in his last 2 fights but he showed that he ist on another level than those guys. He didnt just win, he made it look really easy even though he fought some really decent fightes in Makhmudov and Sanchez.

He definitely has proven that he has earned a title shot because he belongs to the top of the heavyweight division and that he can be dangerous to anyone.

What do you say guys? Did Kabayel change your mind about him? Let me know

Kabayel beat the last two highly rated guys for fun. He literally won every round against both before putting them out of their misery. He's a pretty straight up and down kind of fighter but he seems to do everything well. He's got legitimate power and what looks like a good chin. I like his front foot style, smarts and the fact that he looks well-conditioned and ready to go whenever he steps into the ring.

He's really good. I'd like to see him in with someone like Parker now although JP is in line for a title shot.

Can he win a title? Well maybe. He'd be a big chance against a Hrgovic level guy in my opinion.

He's also gone from low risk, high reward to high risk, moderate reward.

I always thought he was good. But yeah, he's a bit better than I thought because he has found some power.

He's no longer the dark horse of the division anymore, with wins over Makhmudov and Sanchez both in dominant displays he's clearly announced himself as a contender.

I favoured him over Makmudov and Sanchez but didn't expect him to win in such a one sided fashion, he's better than I previously thought, I favoured him before not because I rated him highly but I didn't rate Makhmudov or Sanchez as highly as some and the win over Chisora proved Kabayel at a level that these fighters hadn't dipped a toe in yet.

Question is will he get further opportunities. He was likely picked to lose vs Makhmudov and Sanchez, now he'll be seen as a risky fight and even though he won a WBC eliminator we all know how worthless that is as the WBC can allow years to pass without enforcing a mandatory.

    Good post.

I don't think there will be many queuing up now thinking Kabayel is an easy stepping-stone to a bigger fight. Most of them won't go near him now. He's dangerous.

As I said in the other thread I created. Give kabayel a big fight. Truly underrated fighter who's been avoided for ages. When it was said fury might fight him as a tick over I though that is a seriously difficult tick over fight.
