I'm glad Wladimir and Vitali are ruling the HW division. They provide order to the HW division and we have a potetial ATG in Wladimir cleaning out the HW division. If it weren't for the Klitschkos we'd have Valuev reigning, winning occasional dodgy decisions, losing them at times, and have titles split every which way just like when Byrd and Ruiz were both champs. Controversial decisions and no order at all.
People used to whine and ***** when we didnt have a "ring" or lineal champion. They were fired up at Chris Byrd and Ruiz and the alphabets in all the different hands. Now that we have clarity in the division people are still upset. It seems fans are fickle and possess no clear vision of what they want. Id rather have Bill Gates and Microsoft than no operating system.
How do you figure that Klitschkos don't have heart and courage, or that only Americans love that in their boxer. I like the Klitschkos because they have heart and courage. You make an assumption that Bill Gates' kids can never have heart and courage just because they started on top. It has nothing to do where you start, but how far you got from there. First, there was no middle class in communism. Klitschkos had it better in than most people in communism, but I would much rather be born in an American ghetto than a middle class in Soviet Union. How is it that people from all over the world come here with no language skills and no green card and five years later own a house and many of the poor here have everything open to them but unwilling to take it (this of course is now politics, and most of it is due to extremely dumb welfare system that keeps the poor in poverty.) And this is not what I meant. What I meant is professional boxers who come out looking like slobs. These guys already have money and experience, yet they quit half way. Look at Vitali at 37, and Tyson at that age. One a professional boxer who puts in his best, and the other already a weak opponent who could've been so much more. One has millions of money saved up, the other could barely affford to put a tattoo on his face although he was making much more. Even Lennox would come out sometimes undertrained for a fight. This is the issue. It has less to do with the gift from nature, and more with personal control. If all the Heavyweight boxers out there put as much work into their careers as the Klitschkos do, Wladimir would not be the Lineal Champion today.
Excellent points. Welcome to ESB. Also, the underlined part is very true. Heart and courage has nothing to do with where one starts from.
Yeah, Klitschko do not trash talk. Klitschkos know how to fight. TV ratings were through the roof and fight sold out as usual for a Klitschko fight. I love watching good boxers with such good technique. What? No belly flopping around like Jello?
