Also to call Wardley a prospect......the guy's 28 with 14 pro fights. What are we going by when we say prospects? Does old and inexperienced at pro level count? does young with over 20 pro fights count? Are we counting someone like Frazer Clarke, Johnny Fisher?
He must be one of the worst managed heavies out there. he should be on the verge of a title shot by now. He's had 12 fights in 6 years. That's pathetic. How hard is it to book a skillfull 6'9 HW to fill undercards and keep him ticking over?
He made the mistake of turning over by signing with a obsucre Florida promotional team in The Heavyweight Factory. Evidently a complete fiasco, those guys dont have a tv deal, cant grease people,no money, cant pay opponents, nothing. I understand he left them but the damage might have been done.
That shouldn't even matter at this stage of Dychko's career. How hard is it to put notice out to all other promoters around the World that we have a 6'9 Olympic medal winning HW that is available to fill out undercards.
And the other promoters will ask who pays him?How about his opponent? How about his sparring partners?Training camp? This business is not as easy a forum post would suggest.
Costs are low when building a fighter from scratch. You don't need much money to pay for a Lativan cab driver to be KO'd within 3 rounds.
Low compared to what?Mayweather moeny?Yeah. Minimum wage?Nah. He's already fought the likes of Harris,Austin,Bakhtov and Ustinov-he cant go back to latvian cab drivers. That s the problem-HW Factory dont have moeny to have him as the A side in a real fight and nobody else is gonna waste moeny on a guy they dont have under contract.
Does Dychko have some stamina issues or something like that? He does a lot of sparring. He's got the optics and the background to be shaped into a position where he can be cashed out as name opposition by someone UK/USA moving up, rebuilding or looking for a credible warm-up/stay busy opponent.
This is pretty much my sentiment, except I think Jalolov and Dychko are genuinely very good. Dychko managed to sign up with Probellum right before they landed in all sorts of issues.
Yeah, I think I mentioned Dychko would be the best of the bunch, but he will never get the fights, so its no worth mentioning. Jalolov is good but he has one-punch that straight left. He basically dopes nothing at all with the right hand.
