    Well The WBC have 'awarded' the heavyweight title twice in recent times (Norton, Lewis)

    Some regard Hart's fight with Root as being for the vacant title, some regard it as Hart's first defence as Jeffries had given him the title (I think he was ref of the Hart v Root fight as well)

    I thought it was the other way around. The fight was set up as an exhibition of Root's claim. Hart was meant to be the fall guy.
