I was not at all a fan of this guy, but I would really like him to pull through. He was a unique talent. It sounded more optimistic last night. This sucks. And yes, it has gotten worse... http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/sports/2012/11/21/hector-macho-camacho-brain-dead-reports-say/
i have a feeling he's dead....it's normal in cases like this to not publicly announce it until all of the family have been located and informed....but it sounds like a situation where they wont be keeping him alive by machine for any long amount of time stuff like what happened to him doesnt happen for no reason....but as a fan of the sport and what he brought to it, it's not a nice thing to hear about.
Just lost a friend the other week, shot in the same place. Survived for a few week on life support but eventually had to let him go. Not saying its the case but dealing with drugs is just a matter of time
The situation seems bleak. Brain death to be confirmed or ruled out tomorrow with second EEG. Relatives would decide whether or not to cease life support. For now, Hector Camacho is in a deep coma, underwent cardiac arrest overnight and is on medication to regulate pulse. Confirmation of brain activity would not necessarily mean improvement. God bless the Macho Man.
No good for Macho... Bad news- a C5-6 fracture/damage means (if he makes it) hat he'll breathe on his own and have limited use of his arms. Probably no functional leg use. Hope he pulls through and has a good support system close to him.
honestly man....if it was me, and i could make a choice (in his positon he might be brain dead) i would rather not pull through. My dad died this past sep...it looked like he would either make it on vent for a 6 months or die...he died....i miss him allot...but i am in some ways "glad" he isnt still alive on that vent..its a nasty ****ing thing ok if your going to be on it for a bit to get stronger...but otherwise..no ****ing thankyou.
On another message board, several posters are telling widely divergent personal stories of both extremely positive and extremely negative sides of Camacho. I'm curious as to what he is like off camera. He seemed very gregarious and childlike in some ways and always seemed to me to be a likeable guy. Anyone able to weigh in? Hope he pulls through.
