Hector Camacho's death

If the killer was after the drugs, wouldn't they have taken them after the shooting?

IIRC from the reports I've read, Camacho and his friend were in the car doing the drugs when someone opened fire on them. I'd be more inclined to think it was an intended hit on one of the two men, rather than a drug deal gone bad.
