Helenius Not As Good As We Thought? Or Chisora Better?

Chisora impressed me last night. I was shocked at his punch output and stamina, really didn't think he could keep that type of pressure up for 12 rounds. Really hope Chisora doesn't fail the drugs test. Helenius seemed to struggle badly with the constant pressure style and head movement that Chisora brought

That version of Chisora smashes Fury to pieces in a rematch.

Is Chisora the best African heavyweight about now? Probably.

Actually it makes Tyson Fury better than I thought!

 

I wonder what the percentage is of robberies out of fights. How many robberies have we had in 2011 out of how many high-profile fights? It seems to me the number has been growing over the years.

 

Helenius has looked bad everytime I see him fight, but you forget as he ends up KOing his oppenent with his clubbing blows.

But Del Boy was too good for him, Chisora control the range - got close when he needed to and punished Helenius with body shots and upper cuts.

Maybe if the ref did not pull them apart so much, Del Boy would have KO'ed Helenius on the inside.

Also the few times Helenius did connect Chisora just smiled at him.

Just fed up of seeing the wrong guy win over and over.

 

I never rated Helenius particularly highly but I think I was guilty of underrating Chisora after the Fury fight. He was so disappointing that night that I kind of dismissed how he'd looked previously.

I thought it was only a matter of time until Helenius got beat but I didn't think Chisora was the one to do it.

 

Chisora looked good in the fight because delboy is the definition of a 'G', obviously.

On a more serious note, watch the first round where Helenius breaks his hand and the way Chisora backs off after the straight right that broke the hand.

If Helenius would have been able to use his backhand all these topics and discussion would not be necessary and nobody would be talking much about the fight at all, since it would have been another routine KO of a BUM fighter for Helenius.

Now, that he fought one-handed for 11 rounds we have all these threads about how bad Helenius is and what a great fighter Chisora is and how Sauerland sucks.

Having said that, Chisora fought a great fight - showed good movement and great condition and stamina and should have gotten the decision yesterday. Most people on the arena that I talked with were thinking just the same, but were accepting the fact that home boy should have some advantage in the papers of the judges. It has always been like that in pro boxing and will always be.
