I certainly did not see this one coming. I thought Konacki would steam roll Helenius, regardless of how fat he was. No greater example for the old "styles make fights" cliche. I'll say this for Konacki, he handled the loss much more professionally than WIlder did his loss.
Any truth to the rumor Kownacki said his Trunks were too heavy and they tired his legs out on way to the ring?
Was so looking forward to watching Deontay fight Kownacki in the summer of 2020. This year's been ruined!
Kownacki is not even a real HW, he should be at cruiser. And he made it this far because of the promotion behind him and he's from Brooklyn.
If I was Hearn should chuck aload money at Helenius to fight one of Hunter, Bakole, Hrgovic, Zhang or Hughie next (I'd back all of them against Helenius). Helenius is going to be a wanted man winning the mandatory and seen as easy pickings by some of fighters I mentioned. I expect Helenius to take the fight offering the most money.
His belly was too heavy and the way his fat rolls jiggled about when he was hit destabilised his centre of gravity. Nah, so far as I know he hasn't made any excuses. Solid dude.
Exactly. These fat heavyweights lack discipline and are wasting their talent. The fact that you do not have to make weight is definitely the issue.
Geez, I hadn't thought about that but you're right. Hopefully some of the young guys will clean them out .
