Help Identifying Boxer Picture Found in Bugsy Siegel-Meyer Lansky Hideout

Kas, when you mentioned Al Singer I looked over a bit of the bio on him and need you to check this out. I'm still not 100% - the contour of the face doesn't seem to be quite there - but this is a drawing on Ring mag's cover by one of their renowned artists and I want you to chack out the stance. It's almost identical to the photo.

Was the club where the picture was hanging in NY? That would indicate Singer more than, say, Barney Ross, who though born in NY, moved away with his family as a little kid and spent the rest of his life in Chicago. It doesn't look at all like Benny Leonard to me. Singer looks like the best bet, that is, until "the real thing comes along."
