You guys are doing a better job hyping Rashad up than Dana White. I'm even looking forward to this fight now.
I see Jones destroying him as well. But Hendo knows much more about the wrestling game than I ever will. That being the case I do give some credit to his opinion.
Rashad is going to take Jones down and pound his face in just like he's done in the gym thousands of times over.
Count me out of this. I think Bones will brutally KO Rashad within a couple of minutes without incurring any damage whatsoever himself. Walkover of the Year. Just wanted to make a thread about the fight, really looking forward to it! And even though he'll fail spectacularly anyway if he does this, undoubtedly Rashad's best shot at glory is by going for takedown and top control.
I could see it JOnes has worked with Rashad alot and who knows who got the better of who. I could see Rashad going for the take down and catching Jones with an overhand right. Jones just has to fight a defensive fight and use his reach and leg length to throw lead kicks to keep Rashad from being aggressive
Its Rashads MMA wrestling. See how he dominated Lyoto on the ground. Seriously, I cant even argue that styles makes fights because Jon Jones has fought all styles and has left a path of destruction. You dont go in the cage against Jones and say "Ill take him down" I think people are confusing Jones with Anderson.
Totally disagree with this, Jones has to, and probably will be the aggressor to deal with Rashads feints and movements at range and tying him up and pushing him up against the cage I cant think of one fight where Evans has been the aggressor, he likes to counter and use his wrestling to stall or drain stamina so his speed advantage will be more telling.
I would be interested in seeing Jones off his back bit I don't think Rashad will put him there. Tbh I suspect Jones has good chokes and sweeps anyway.
I don't need to see credentials, its clear as day, black as white who the best wrestler is and even if Bader was, there's no possible way to know Bader is the better wrestler unless they fought eachother simply because Rashad's resume is ten times the resume Bader's is. He's beaten a lot bigger names and he's used his wrestling to do it. What their credentials are don't matter, they've both improved and Rashad is clearly a better wrestler and has proved it with better opposition.
