Robinson weighed around 144 and carried him, Robinson is also the nearest stylistic opponent and he completely dominated Armstrong. Armstrong didn't batter anyone with the power and speed combination of Mosley, not by a long shot and he was protected from Charles Burley, when he got in with Robinson he was carried I don't have the HBO ring, I've heard it repeated many times Mosley for 1 fight weighed 160lbs. Armstrong never battered anyone close to Mosley's speed and power combination, in fact his handlers kept him away from Charles Burley (and Holman and Cocoa Kid) and when he did face anyone close to having those advantages in speed/power and range he was carried (Robinson). Armstrong despite all his fights is in unchartered ground here Perhaps it was 1 of his none title WW fights he weighed 160 then? Either way he is operating with a 20lbs weight advantage, here's some techniques to cut 20-30lbs without letting it seriously harm next day performance http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2008/01/18/how-to-cut-weight/
so who do you think wins then? Mosley is going to be able to unleash his rapid shots on Armstrong, there is no doubt about it, he will land a lot of heavy punches. Let's not act like Henry is just gunna slap him around.
If it's true then take d optimal biggest / best version of Armstrong (even if it's his "welterweight" version) and allow Armstrong d same methods of weight cutting and even then 135 lbs will b extremely easy 4 him while Shane will b weakened and then it's Armstrong by TKO .
Wrestlers have cut ridiculous amounts of weight for sure. I'd say it is more detrimental to a boxer though.
No, but I think Armstrong will break him down eventually. This would turn into an inside fight pretty quickly, with Armstrong's positioning and head movement giving him the clear lead while nullifying Mosley's mid-range game and ability to consistently throw effective, powerful combinations. Mosley will land a lot of punches regardless, but not nearly as much as Armstrong will be landing on him. I think Mosley will be on fumes by the time the fight's over.
